We saw that! 🎉 So excited for him. Mine was my grandpas and when he passed away in 2015 I inherited two…. 😵‍💫 Lots of work but so much fun!

Hi guys glad to see you chose to go for it I did the same with a 1980 Vanagon I had to ship all the parts from the states to Alberta so I had the added cost of duty to go along with the shipping. This past year I put a brand new air cooled engine in it as well as all the work you have to due. It now is a new van with a 1980 body still worth all the work three years worth. It still cost half as much as a new camper to do but it can fit in my garage and it is a lot of fun to drive. Good luck with yours and enjoy

I love you two. I can't wait to get this thing running. If we can get it drivable, I think our first camping trip will be to Cracker Barrell. If that goes well, then to Manatee Hammock!

Congratulations on going for it!! You already own it so putting some cash and your own labor of love will make a sweet camper in the end!! I didn’t see anything y’all couldn’t fix on your own. Very simple to work on. I’ve been working on VWs for years. Lots of great info on the internet. Paying someone else to do the work will cost tons of cash. Good luck!! Can’t wait for the next video!

Yeah, it was in such great condition not that long ago. It hurts to see it like this! I’m ready to get back into it though. We hope to do everything ourselves and then just take it to the mechanic once we get into things a bit more complicated. Hal is fantastic and super handy though, so fingers crossed he can do everything. Paint, though!! We will pay someone. More VW videos coming up!

Your bus looks like a solid candidate for restoration. I'm finishing up on an 86 Westy, Subaru conversion...Love it. The power upgrade is awesome. Good luck.

Yeah I’m pretty torn on what to do about that actually. I’m rockin the original diesel engine and I like it that way! BUT! An upgrade would be so practical and handy.

Yeah, actually this was supposed to be episode 2, and I had a technical difficulty involving episode 1 at the last minute, and was like, F it! Episode 2 is done, I'll just do that one first! But what I forgot was that Episode 2 (this episode) was NOT done! hahahah I used my music as "hypothetical" music in the rough draft, and then I never even put our intro video on it at all! It was a quick, last minute panic mess up. But I actually didn't even remember that until after our slow internet took like 4 hours to upload it, and I was NOT doing it again. I'd committed to Fridays! hahahah

HAHAH! I was raised by my grandparents, so an iron was a staple in our house. THEN working on yachts didn't help! I travel with my mini irons, and my main iron is like a $200 iron. Ridiculous, I know!!!! I rarely iron anymore, but when it's necessary, I do!
