That’s literally what happened between me and this guy. We’ve been friends for a long time and he’d always bug me about how he felt but I always brushed it aside since he was a bit younger. I finally caved in at the end of 2019 and told him I liked him too. I honestly thought it would be like a movie. Two childhood friends dating. I thought I’d experience real love for the first time but it’s been terrible. He ruined our friendship and couldn’t even keep the relationship alive and I gave up and we don’t even talk anymore. The love Shawn and Camila are experiencing is what I thought I’d experience too. It’s nice to see a story so similar to yours succeed. Mine didn’t but I’m happy for them. Anyways I just wanted to share this and vent 😭
