Sirmione liegt am Südufer des Gardasees etwa 31 km südöstlich von Brescia und etwa 30 km nordwestlich von Verona auf einer Halbinsel, die etwa vier Kilometer in den See hineinragt. Der historische Ortskern erstreckt sich an der schmalsten Stelle der Halbinsel etwa drei Kilometer vom Südufer entfernt.
