What happened is that she lost most her pokemon in her first run of the elite 4, although it was due to incredibly bad luck and lots and lots of crits. Those are the flashbacks we see before the elite 4 members. Her chat voted for her to try again because it really wasn't her fault (plus it was her birthday, too) so she did and won. But she felt like it was a hollow victory so she incorporated it into the video via the Giratina split her in two storyline.

The reason why is was so weird at the end, was because Jaiden lost in the elite four, and what she is telling in the video is a soft reset right before the eilete four.

She probably does like shinx, but in nuzlockes you sometimes have to sacrifice weaker pokemon to keep your main team alive

So 1) The Gyarados couldn't have it's Hidden Ability as those weren't introduced until gen 5 and this is gen 4. 2) Moxie wasn't introduced until gen 5 either. And again, this is gen 4. So Intimidate is the only ability the Gyarados could have

Not to mention, I don't know of a single instance of enemy pokemon getting their hidden ability in mainline pokemon games. I don't do Battle Tower stuff, so maybe some pokemon in those kind of competitive areas have them, but as far as I know, nothing does.

Well, on her first round through the Elite Four, her Heracross took out her Togekiss, Bertha's Rhyperior took out the only two Pokemon that could take on Flint's team, which obliterated her remaining members, ending the run. Her chat said to try again, and she had better luck that time. She wasn't even expecting to beat Cynthia on the second go round. The whole Giratina thing was to redefine its dimension altering powers to narratively explain the second chance her chat permitted.

Why wouldn't Steelix be in this game? Steelix existed ever since the second generation of Pokemon. Although you have to trade it with a certain item to evolve it.

You can catch wild Steelix on the island where that NPC partner and Lucario backs you up.

How did Staraptor kill Gyarados? Well Brave Bird is 120 power (180 with STAB) Staratop has a 120 Base Attack stat and Gyarados only has 79 Base Defense. Gyarados only being 3 levels higher isn't exactly perfect either. Especially since it was a crit it makes sense that Gyarados went down. Also of course Togekiss wouldn't be fairy in this. This is Gen 5. Fairy wasn't even a thing yet. That wasn't introduced until Gen 6 (X/Y/OR/AS.)

She didn't, actually. She only reset after her team was completely wiped out. (Bertha took out some of her party, Flint took out the rest.) She planned to accept the loss and incorporate that into the video, but her chat wanted her to try again as it was her birthday and she'd been slogged by crits the entire game and had gotten an obscene amount during her Elite Four challenge. She eventually did a poll regarding this and, overwhelmingly, people voted for her to try again. So she did and won, but didn't feel it was exactly fair - that's why she incorporated it into the video this way; so that she essentially both won and lost. There was only the one reset though.

@@skyedestiny She actually lost one Pokemon to Aaron, two to Bertha, and by the time she reached Flint all she had left were Pokemon weak to fire. Aaron's Heracross took out Togekiss with a Stone Edge crit, Bertha's Rhyperior took out Quagsire with an Earthquake crit (I think), and it also took out Garchomp with an Avalanche crit. That left Jaiden with only Torterra, Scizor, & Magnezone going into the fight with Flint, so Jaiden just gave up at that point (as even if she somehow got past Flint, she'd still have to get past Lucian just to reach Cynthia). Jaiden then met chat vote on whether she could retry, and the vast majority voted for her to retry the Elite 4 by pretty much invoking the "BS Clause" due to how many crits she got hit with (if not for those crits, Jaiden's first run would have probably gone just fine).
