Thanks for sharing this. I'm currently trying to make sense of the pain in my own shoulder from a flu vaccine being administered way too high, and have been trying to learn more about SIRVA and what physical therapy exercises there are for it that are safe that won't exacerbate the pain or inflammation or anything, and I happened upon this video. Lots of good information contained. Thank you for putting this presentation up.

My problem isn't loss of range of motion, it's just that it hurts like hell to move the joint.

well that is pretty much a loss of range of motion. because the pain will make you avoid that range of motion.

I got the Shingrix vaccine in April. The nurse asked which side I wanted injected and I said my left shoulder. She didn't a great job and I hardly felt anything. I got the second dose on June 21st. This time I had a different nurse. She didn't ask where I wanted it and didn't take her time picking an injection site. This is the first time I recall saying "ouch" out loud from a shot and I instantly knew something was wrong. Here it is August 3rd and I still have constant pain in my right shoulder where the second injection was done and it seems to be getting worse. What really pisses me off beside the pain and suffering is that the clinic is going to make more money trying to fix the mistake caused by their incompetence.

My husband is in the same boat. I'm pushing him to get help because this isn't going away after more than a year. He said that exercising a lot with his arms helps, but it doesn't solve the problem.

What do you think of getting a booster shot for people who had suffered from SIRVA after their second shot? It's been 8 months for me and my shoulder has just started to recover. I still have some pain of I lay on that side for a long time, otherwise fine. I'm skeptical about getting a booster shot after having this condition for several months.

I had the 1st covid shot on July 8 and been having the same issues as you guys describe here. The 2nd dose I asked to have not on any arm as I was scared to compromise the other shoulder so they applied it in the thigh. Still today not recovered. I just found out this video now I can at least look for the right treatment, hopefully that exists.

@@rory12349 Thankfully I started feeling some improvements 45 days ago. The pain when trying to lift the arm is 80% gone, it only hits when the arm is almost vertical. Off course I have a lot to do in order to recover the strength back to lift the arm. Around 15 months without being able to go higher than 45 degrees made my muscles weak, I guess.

I got the 2nd Pfizer vaccine at end of May and several weeks later a deep/dull/constant pain deep at the injection site continues to this day, over 3 months. It is too painful to lift that arm up above my head, at least for more than a few seconds and I have lost range of motion overall due to the pain which now feels like it has spread out around my shoulder. I met with a orthopedic surgeon last week and the x-rays show no issues...going to PT this month and then MRI to follow. The doctor said I am not the first to come to him about this and I need to do the PT ahead of MRI for insurance purposes so I must wait. This is a pain deep into my shoulder muscle that won't go away. I cannot live the rest of my life with this and I hope there are solutions.

Hi....I also have the same issue🥺🥺🥺 I have pain in the exact site of injection....sometimes it feels like burning sensation, sometimes feels like pulling pain and dull pain. I got my second Pfizer jab on September 22 ND, 2021......this weird pain started on the third day and lasted for two weeks. I contacted my doctor and told her about this issue. She sent me for ultrasound and also nerve scan ( I had an appointment scheduled with the neurologist regarding my neck issue , and asked to perform nerve scan on my right arm, where got injected) ....both ultrasound and nerve scan were normal. After 3-4 weeks the pain was gone, so I got relaxed and happy about it. But about 6 days ago, pain has returned and it's more intense, sometimes I cant hold a vacuum cleaner for more than 2 minutes ( I am right handed) 🥺🥺🥺 Drives me crazy and I don't know what to do. I put salonpass patches, but doesn't help.

Does this happen to same hand on which you have taken vaccine? I took on LEFT hand and 10 days later I started noticing pain in my RIGHT hand(bicep was swollen) 1month later pain started in neck and shoulder
@IAOMUSVIDEO2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it it is happening on the same shoulder where the vaccine was administered. Now, it has been shown through research that upper quarter dysfunctions tend to be mirrored in the contralateral side. Maybe this is what is happening to your shoulder? Have to been seen by a Certified Physical Therapy?

It depends on the type of injury and the structures being affected. In general, controlled and gentle rhythmic mobility of the shoulder and shoulder blade should alleviate the symptoms (try to keep it under 90 deg of elevation).

No pain, but I have a sharp indentation to my left deltoid muscle, notable approximately 6 months after the 2nd COVID vaccination (no vaccinations received received prior to occurrence). The indentation is not just something I notice. Several people have pointed it out. I just got my 3rd shot (booster) and will continue to get vaccinated. I wonder if others have experienced this indentation phenomenon several months following administration of COVID vaccine or any vaccine received to the deltoid.

3 months Pfizer and there is still pain when i move my arm to certain angles (elevations). A dull pain that does not go away emanating from the injection site and radiating through the arm muscle. I think the forceful injection the nurse gave me where she plunged the needle in like she was stabbing something damaged a nerve in my arm or something. Either that or my immune system did not like the vaccine and wrecked havoc at the point of injection.
