Lord, that's just beautiful. I'm from Southeast Kentucky and just by accident really drove across Northwest Arkansas back in 1969. I'd flown out west to visit my sister and having never been on an airplane or out of the state really much I got pretty homesick even though the trip was great. Driving in my sister's car home across seemingly endless plains I perked up a little bit around Talequah, OK and, by the time we found ourselves ferrying across Beaver Lake, we felt like we were back home! I've returned several times and still feel a kinship. Thank you for this great celebration of the spirit of the Southern Highlands. Now I'm 76 and live in my family's home place up Beaver Creek.
