Standing ovation. That is the bar I reach for. A glorious slap to the face of today's so-called talent. Triple threat should mean actor/dancer/singer...not can't act....can't dance...can't sing.

Gene and Donald made such a good team, they should've done more together! "It's times like this that I wish our names were Como and Sinatra." "You mean we wish we were Italians?" LOL Donald is so funny at that part, and I love Gene's smile at 4:36! So cute!

You can definitely see Kelly's influence on O'Connor's dancing style. When Donald started dancing he was just a hoofer. When he started dancing with Gene Kelly, who had years of ballet training, that's when he started dancing with his whole body instead of just from the waist down, and in a controlled way rather than just flailing about. Kelly was an amazing dancer, but he was just as good a teacher as he was a dancer. Debbie Reynolds, for example. This was a pure pleasure to watch!

What the heck is this from!!?? What an amazing piece of history! My mom's oldest brother was a friend of Donald O' Connor's (Really!!) and he would tell us amazing stories, like the one about the fact that Donald and Gene loved working together, but that Donald admitted that Gene could be a bit of a "hardass" to work with on the set of "Singin' In The Rain", and that Donald needed actual hospitalized rest for 2-3 days after performing "Make Em' Laugh."
