I'm a big fan of Whoopi and just watched this for the first time and as mentioned it was not her best movie but her acting is great, as usual. Her and Sam Elliott are good together, they really should have gone further with that, including leaving the love scene that was filmed in.

Fatal beauty is good solid action picture for Whoopi, she prove to be compelling actress, she's a female version of Eddie Murphy, I totally agree with Roger Ebert when he said this movie is the real Beverly hills cop 2 instead of over the top fast-pace, violence action which I did not like & care for. Whoopi & Sam are great together, their relationship is very strong, I always like strong relationships. I like it better than BHC 2.

A another example that Hollywood didn't know what to do with WG. After the CP, they put her in these hit& miss action movies that didn't project her great talent. I'm not saying put her in the CP Every time, but they were better movies to star than these.

Yeah, but when you’re approaching it based on her talent, especially carrying a whole movie, it’s easy to be disappointed in how formulaic her starring vehicle movies were during this time.

The end of the review is funny, Gene's "I also liked it more than Amazon Women on the Moon" line was great! Agree with Ebert on this one I thought it was funny and solid action film with a good central relationship. Goldberg has made a lot of bad choices, but I don't think this is one of them.

Well, they both eventually had to leave us. Gene left us too soon, though. He was only 53 when he died. At least Roger lived to 70.
