I can't wait to see the new restoration of Stop Making Sense 2023!

I was at the premiere in Toronto with the band in audience. Q&A was awkward, but the restoration looked and sounded fantastic, particularly the version of "What a Day That Was".

I just discovered Stop Making Sense and I was completely in awe of how brilliant the whole concert was. The energy of David Byrne and his band mates is invigorating. Thank you for posting this clip. I feel vindicated hearing my favorite critics share my feelings for how joyous I felt watching this film.

I saw the opening and closing nights of the four night run at The Pantages Theater the Talking Heads did in 1983 - Tuesday Dec. 13 and Friday Dec. 16. It turns out that the show you see in the film is mainly from the Thursday, Dec. 15 performance. Saw TH a total of seven times from 1978 to 1983. What a great band they were.

My late Father's favorite VHS. If you were to simply do all the moves Byrne does during the entire set you would be completely wasted at the end. Just insane energy during the entire show.

Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode has said that he had a moment when they were performing the concerts at the Rose Bowl for the film 101. He said that it felt like he could tell the crowd to do whatever he wanted, be it good or bad, and they would do it.

I went to a rock concert and I didn't like the band because the lead singer wore a gestapo outfit so he threw his guitar in my face and I ran out of the venue with a free Strat..or something like that in Ebert land.

According to them, other concerts are by "typically angry and aloof set of musicians" with "the audience being oppressed, like me or I'll throw my guitar in your face" and "a lot of rock concerts are like nazi rallies." I'm a fan of both the Talking Heads, and this movie, but this review is over-the-top stupid.
