It's one thing to make great beats and you already prove that you're able to do this. But it's another thing to share the knowledge of how you do it. With this videos you prove that you're this type of guy who share to help and encourage others. You're a good person Barry. Blessings to you! Thanks

I’m working on some "fake breaks" myself for quite a while. And as you mentioned in the video it's quite surprising that not more people out there are doing this. it's definitely a bit more work than quickly firin' out some beats... But, and that's just me, I find it a bit more rewarding, artistically. I'm really looking forward to more Barry Beats "fake breaks" !

Thats mad -- apart from the vintage horns you're using all the sample plugins as me, and, independently, I also did a mixtape a few years back using no sampled loops etc which I liked to call 'The Lost Breaks' -- with the intent on making dusty, rediscovered grooves

Hey Barry, I seen you on mass appeal years ago and just found your channel! But I have a question, I see you have multiple instruments layered in kontakt, are they tracked out individually or are they playing at the same time?
@Sispex4 жыл бұрын
Hey man, really sorry but I don’t quite understand the question? If you could please elaborate a little I will try to answer.
@therealk-tone2144 жыл бұрын
Si Spex @4:35 you open up kontakt and start scrolling through. You have bass first and other instruments under. Are all those instruments layered and playing the same midi in sync? Are they tracked individually from kontakt into abelton? When I use multiple instruments from kontakt I put each on separate midi tracks and my cpu takes a hit. I’m trying to figure out why you have so many libraries open at one time in kontakt and the significance of it.

Barry Beats, outstanding advice for us all. Been into hip hop for 20 years and love your sound. I been using reason/logic for years. Got an mpc recently. It’s awesome for cutting and sequencing. Do you have an email or private contact as I have shed loads of questions and some samples I could use help with. Much appreciated, keep up the good work, matt - from Bristol
