The tv concert was sent on the evening of Norway's Constitution Day May 17th 2020 during a pandemic. Usually we celebrate hard but not this year. Sissel did appear twice on national tv on May 17th 2020. Instead of celebrating hard, we did stay at home. National tv gave us two tv concerts with Sissel. 6 million Norwegians saw this on our Constitution Day. We didn't miss Sissel's tv concert. Sissel were are hidden secret in Norway till 1986 when she appeared at ESC. Then again appeared at the Winter Olympics in LIllehammer 1994. What many Norwegians grew up with, people around the world still till this day discover Sissel. It's not the Norwegians that miss Sissel but around the world yet Sissel is not only a national treasure, she's also an international treasure beloved in Norway and all over the world but she's not world wide famous like i.e Celine Dion.

@@exentr Bonjour. Let me tell you first that my name derives from an ancient Scandinavian name that became Bergby in your country. It goes back almost 900 years ago, when French speaking Normans adopted in England names given to places by the Vikings. The name evolved from Bergheby/Berghby to Beruby, and much later to Bérubé when it was brought in Normandy during the Hundred Year War. I'm not related to Sissel, but I am to Céline, though not closely, at a great great grandfather level. I can appreciate that Céline put French Canadians on the map by becoming an international star. I admire her for that. But I have been a Sisselfan during all those years of Céline' successes. Sissel remains the singer I enjoy to listen the most. So, I'm pleased by the information you are providing today.

I don't know - I just got to laugh. I made a research in google maps. I was about to say "I don't know any place in Norway called Bergby". I made a search for Bergby but no hit in Norway. google maps says Bergby in Sweden and Finland. As I sit here it comes to my mind that I have mustard from Bergby's in Norway. Maybe it's your relatives in Norway haha

Dvorak has been an indispensable companion all my life; the Largo from his 9th symphony was Katherine's favorite music, and Sissel's 'Going Home' from the Roros concert came to me as a gift from eternal Love. She has been a world treasure for decades - a precocious, prodigious talent as a youth; one of the most beautiful, gifted and modest of divas; and a wise and glorious woman in her maturity. She is a gift from God and from Norway. Sissel is an avatar of grace and beauty. It's wonderful to see her join melodious colleagues in this celebration of Norway's Constitution Day. What a way to celebrate a country's constitution! Very soothing and comforting, and I totally enjoyed it. Yes, Norway is an admirable country and Norwegians should be proud in how their constitution is upheld and defended. We so often have take our constitution for granted, but seeing how the constitutional rights of the people are being abused in so many places in the rest of the world, one should really celebrate what the Norwegians have been doing. Sissel, you have the most beautiful voice that I have ever heard and I congratulate Norway for having such a divine voice to celebrate its constitution. I have always been enjoying your singing since I saw your impressive performance in the Christmas in Vienna Concert 1994. It is sad that you and all of Norway cannot enjoy the celebrations that normally held for your nation's special day, BUT; for the rest of the world your special presentation provides the rest of the world a chance to have a glimpse of your nation through your presentation. There are several skilled female singers in the world. Just now we lack the male singers which were stars 50 years ago. What has happened? I discovered Your, dear Sissel only today And I thanks your proudness of Your Country Kingdom of Norway. She is a Knight of the Order of St. Olav. The King is the Grand Master of the order which is given for excellent services to the country and mankind. It is not a medal, but a Maltese cross in white enamel and gold decorated with a red globe surrounded by a blue and white ring upon which is placed the golden lion with the axe, a symbol of Norway going back to the 13th century and now used in the Norwegian Coat of Arms. Between the arms of the cross is the monogram of king Oscar 1st who founded the order in 1847. Above is the royal crown.

The three members of a-ha...the Norwegian band, Morten Harket, Magne Furuholmen and Pal Waaktaar-Savoy were also honoured by receiving it from King Harald for services to Norway for their music and humanity.
