I met her earlier this month after her most recent concert. She is gracious and so easy to talk with. And tall and actually more handsome in the flesh than appearing in videos. When she stops singing, no one will quite take her place.

The piercingly pitch-perfect and crystal clear voice of Sissel never fails to impress this violinist's ear ! Her singing is absolutely divine and angelical. She deserves a statue between the Oslo Opera house and the statue of Kristin Flagstad!

In 86, this was our first glimpse in the UK of the child Sissel. Terry Wogan was our Eurovision commentator back then. He said, as Siss on stage took the applause, "What a beautiful, beautiful singer." while we thought, she should win it, even though she was only an interval act.
