DING DONG…so we’re officially in the holiday season and what better way to bring in the season of family and love than with the latest episode featuring the soon-to-be-newlyweds Dr. Matthew Brinkley and writer David Brandyn. The couple recently launched their World Of Wonder featured series ‘Sissy That Psyche’ which takes a dive into past RuPal’s Drag Race episodes through the lens of a mental health perspective. Surely becoming fixtures for the Black queer community, both Matt and David have also stepped into the spotlight in the social media space as creators of content focused on debunking many taboos in the culture which include being in a healthy open relationship. Currently watching and wanted to chime in: Britney is playing with everyone with her posts. She doesn’t take social media or society’s facade of it seriously the way we all do, have been conditioned to. People post socially acceptable/palatable things every day that are weird as hell and awkward and confusing and just tragic and try hard, but they do it to an audience that is conditioned to seeing it in that way so it comes off as “normal”. I personally admire her IDGAF attitude over her posts. I wish I had the bravery to post whatever the hell I wanted all the time not caring what someone will perceive me as. I strive for it and still cannot come anywhere near as close to what she does. Is she fully there? Probably not. Are any of us fully there? Probably not.
