I saw her do it only one other time. She was in The Netherlands talking about her role as Guinan on Star Trek: The Next Generation. FYI, Guinan is mostly “a watcher, not a do-er” but steps up when required, and doesn’t have a lot of close friends. An audience member stepped up during Q&A and identified himself as having autism. He told her how that character inspired/empowered him to break out of his introspective shell (including the very acts of just attending the event and saying it to her). Whoopi was genuinely moved and offered the man a hug and her thanks. It was a revelation for her.

I just made my real professional debut as an opera singer singing a huge lead role, and I am about to earn the highest degree for this discipline. @@amh5090 I didn’t remember seeing Jennifer in Sister Act 2 either at first, until I became familiar with her name after seeing her in the I Know What You Did Last Summer movies and then I noticed her name in the credits. Yes, it’s really nice being able to follow actors (& singers) from a young age and seeing them getting better and getting bigger & more demanding roles. And there are loads of them like Lauryn and Jennifer that started in the ‘90s, and seem to still have successful careers.

I was 15 years old, three decades ago when I saw Sister Act 2 movie, and I said "I WANT TO BE IN THAT CHOIR !!" Those cool kids who can sing and dance and full of dreams and aspirations. This movie has seriously made a positive impact to our generation. Thank you The View for bringing us back to 90's memory lane when we were young, full of dreams and aspirations.

I was in High School during this Time as well, and I was in the choir when this movie came out. After the movie was over, the entire audience stood and applauded. What Drum line did for Band Culture around the World, Sister Act 2 did for the culture of Choir Singing. I can't tell you how many times we replayed those scenes, both during school and after school hours. Our student choir director use to play His eye is on the sparrow from the piano, and try to mimic the characters version in the movie. I think I even had the soundtrack at one time. That same student director went on to become A top 5 American Idol contestant on season 3, the best season!🕎🕎🕐🕐🤴🤴⚜⚜⚓⚓🔱🔱🌊🌊🚀🚀🌌🌌
