My sister (53) and I (50) were shopping today. She’s up in NJ visiting from TN. This song came on the overhead, we were in opposite ends of the store belting it out. She said “I was shocked to hear someone else singing this then I realized it was you!” Memories of a time long gone but never forgotten. ❤ Awesome song.

Oh yeah it roared like a big Harley Davidson old Shovel head..Pan head style bike! loved those too! Now I'ma grandma 6 times the oldest is a 10 year old little girl Gracie and she and the other kids rock out with Nana to Metallica , Megadeath Soundgarden and Led Zeppelin..but she loves Black Sabbath war pigs iron man paranoid and Dio singing Heaven and Hell!! Last in line and SO ON!!! SHIT ITS 5:03 am I'm still awake like a mental patient which is why I am talking too much!!!!! Sorry thanks for the read and going along on my trip down memory lane...!!!

You listen to these songs and honestly get chills. You love it and you’re somehow a little sad because you remember when these were on the radio and you first heard it. Life in the 80s as a teen…

This song has got to be in the top ten list of the all-time greatest songs of the 1980's. When I was a freshman at OU living in the dorms and I felt lonely at night I used to go sit in my car and play this song.

This song really gives me the chills in a great way. When it was released in 1984 I was 16 years old in high school. Funny thing is that it came out in March of 84 was the month that I met my true first love and we would end up spending almost 5 years together till SOPHOMORE year of college. I was a high school football and track star, and she was on the girls track team .After all these decades we live in different states but are still great friends. This song for me is TIMELESS.

I remember getting a karaoke machine when I was six for Christmas and it came with a CD full of 80s songs. My family and I would always pick this song to sing (very offkey and loud, of course) and no matter how badly we sounded, it was always so fun. It feels weird hearing this song again after all this time, but they were simpler times nevertheless.
