The fact that Kody DIDN’T turn off the power to the chain saw when it got stuck and he let it continue to run when he let it go to put in the wedge to loosen up the pressure to get it out, resulting in the running chainsaw falling towards him, tells me that he has in fact not had that much experience with cutting down big trees with chainsaws. He may have cut down smaller trees with saws and axes in other states, but his inexperience was plainly showing in this episode.

Robyn is a narcissist. She’s worse than Kody. She shapes his narrative about his own life, his other kids and Robyns kids. She calls all the shots. She’s probably the one who told him that his kids won’t talk to him unless he gets rid of her. It’s just another way of her manipulating him.

I think Kody is cutting down the trees for two reasons. Number one he is selling the trees for lumber because its a money maker and number two it devalues the land with less trees

I feel like I’m the only one enjoying going through all of the steps leading into Christine’s wedding these last few episodes. And I had only watched the wedding special when it came out and always meant to go back and rewatch so I enjoyed getting to watch it again last night.

When the OG3 were still with Kody, he could sort of yell and scream in order to get his way. Now, Kody has to deal with women who have no interest in getting back with him, PLUS they now have the backing of a new husband, attorneys, and grown children. I don't think Kody has the emotional bandwidth to withstand that kind of accountability reckoning - especially with respect to David and attorneys who he has zero attachment or ability to manipulate. ETA: as a former North Carolinian, NC is a more beneficial place to live with respect to cost of living, and taxes in general than Arizona or Utah.

Made Gwen told her mom she doesn’t want to be involved in the show anymore and keep her out. I think Gwen has anger and jealousy issues with a lot of family members, especially her brother. If you look back as she was growing up. You can see there is something with her.

Kodys experience bringing down trees on the ranch, or his Lehi property and others might not have been massive pines like theg have outside Flagstaff. I thought previous tree scenes there had been him looking like he was doing the work without pros there, but I read there had been. This time it appeared he theoretically learned how and was DIY. So 2 episodes in a row, precarious safety in Kodys portion.

It would be really nice to see these fresh before other podcasts have been watched. I’ve noticed that every week if not multiple times during these lives, a certain other podcast is mentioned. Which I love. But it definitely feels like there are certain things that they’ve pointed out That your regurgitating and it makes it really difficult to ascertain your individual things that you pickes you picked up on naturally. You mentioned the other podcast 3 times. I would be really curious to watch a couple weeks of lives where all you did was watch the show and then go into the live here without anything else in your ear and see the difference.

What I don’t understand is the logic behind how TLC rolled out the wedding special. Wouldn’t it have been better if, right around Christmas, those episodes rolled out? “Tonight on a very special Sister Wives…” Now they’re just recycling stuff they jumped the gun to show us. All of this would have made more sense and been less annoying to watch if it was leading up to a wedding I HAVEN’T seen yet. Instead, the entire season were rolling our eyes at Christine’s joy, even though we’re happy for her, because we’re beyond tired of hearing about it.

I have to say, watching this episode made me feel very sorry for Robyn. I know how awful it is to be married to a man who feels he has to do all the “manly” things to show how superior he is to everyone else. Won’t listen to anyone, doesn’t research the proper way to perform a task and then blames every thing else for his screwing up. He said Robyn gets to make the rules now, but if that were true, they would have a professional arbor specialist take these down.

Garrison may not have wanted to be filmed for the wedding, he did elude to issues with the show in his final texts. He may have also had issues with alcohol at the wedding and they chose to not show him in what could be seen as a negative light.

Idk-I kind of do believe Gwen was busy because it happened so fast. When I got married, I was only engaged for 2 months. There were a few people who couldn’t make it to my wedding because there wasn’t a lot of notice and I was living in another state.

Kody made cutting down the tree much more dangerous than it should be. Getting the tree stuck on another tree and then sitting on the ground. Not to mention the stuck running chain saw and hitting the wedge…😮🙄🫣

You mentioned how manic Kody was in that tree-cutting scene, and it just brings home the fact that he seems really mentally unwell. Maybe it's a case of narcissistic injury or maybe it's something more, but Robyn should be concerned for her own wellbeing, and that of her kids. I don't mean to be an alarmist, but he seems borderline something. Is cutting down trees something Kody does when he's in a manic cycle? I'm starting to think so.

Personally, I think production would have filmed Garrison but those hit the cutting room floor because we know that the night Garrison committed suicide, he was messaging production. He may have made some comments to Production that night that would make them leery of including any of Garrison's confessionals.

I have to say several things that just bugged the ever loving out of me. 1: almost everything in this episode we saw last summer. 2: what kind of idiot is Kody in his rabid use of the chain saw? The manic way he tried to start it was a major accident waiting to happen. He obviously thinks doing 'manly' things make him more desirable and his 6 Pack. This episode was just a major redo of last August.
