This is Wild. My mother passed sway a year ago. My older brother is disabled and lived in her house with her. Until she passed. My brother asked if i wanted the house sold so the money could be split. I said no Man, you live there, the house is yours as far as i'm concerned. If you cant afford to pay the taxes on it, we can figure something out. My Mother would roll over in her grave if she knew i was trying to sell that house for the money. Instead of making sure my brother had a place to live. Could i use the money, yep. But. Some things are bigger than money.

They kick out the grandson that was living in there to give to another grandson to use as rental income? Awful
@anndeecosita35864 ай бұрын
My grandparent’s neighbors did that after a death. A lady who had lived there with her grandmother all of her life because her mother died when she was a child. Grandma died and the aunt kicked her out to rent out the house and make money. The house was paid off.
@basicallyno17222 ай бұрын
@anndeecosita so did the woman living there ever save her own money to go live on her own? Was she a part of the family or just someone that got to live there? Was she special needs? A person isn’t entitled to live there because their mom died as a child. It seems they let the older woman live there until she died….why should this other woman live there for free or fixed rent? And the aunt is supposed to pay taxes on that and then pay for the upkeep of the home? Homes are expensive and they require maintenance. Aunt was just supposed to pay for that out of pocket so some woman could live there comfortably? They let the woman’s grandmother live there until her death…that’s pretty fair enough.
