Story :-
I sent my sister to jail, but it wasn't because of what she did to me. Our parents died when I was 12 years old, and my sister Mary became my legal guardian since we had no other family members. However, she neglected and abused me, causing me to suffer from depression. She would lock me up in my room, forbid me from going to school, and even invite her friends over to make fun of me. The worst part was that she didn't care about our parents' death because it was also her fault that they died.
One day, I discovered that Mary had been embezzling the money that our parents had left for us. I decided to report her to the authorities, and she was sent to jail. It wasn't an easy decision, but I knew that it was the right thing to do. Even though I still miss my sister sometimes, I'm glad that I can finally move on from the traumatic experiences that she put me through.

The story is a hard one to accept as true….for OP’s sister to kill both her old parents and called it self defense and no further investigation is unheard of. The other thing is the would be a conflict of interest for her to preside over the trial of her sister. Besides, she attacked OP and was her abuser, not sure how anyone would allow that to be the case.

Hello all For me it's not the fact that it's crappy or hard to believe the circumstances in the beginning, after the abuse etc.. it's about the complete absurdity surrounding the sister coming back saying she killed someone attracted her sister/judge then op supposedly was the judge on her case. That's ridiculous. Just get the fact she's ops sister, (even if they got along) or the fact that she broke into a judges house and made an random utterance which printed finger at her, or the point that sister supposedly had blood evidence on her hands and ops house didn't become a crime scene, out the fact that op would have had to take a leave of the bench while being a witness and victim of sister she would be attending court on the opposite side of the bench , or the fact if that happened sister would have had federal charges against her because sister is a judge and to threaten a judge in that way . My mother died in an ICU of a hospital, from an accidental overdose of asthma meds and Robitussin (this was before the recall). She was getting senile and we'd been forced to lock up her meds so she didn't overdose again (last time, it was geart meds). We didnt think the asthma meds were a threat. Well, 4 months after she died. I got a call from Adult Social Services, asking about my mom's Current Health, implying that they believed she was bieng abused (she took blood thinners and bruised way, too easily). These people were stationed at the very hospital where she died and had access to all her records, but strangely hadn't read the last page, stating she was DEAD! IF it's real, it wouldn't surprise me. The system in the U.S. for monitoring kids like this is ......... shit. The workers are overworked and under paid, so it would be easy to overlook OP. Also, OP never went to the cops nor ask for help - as she was a mere child, with no knowledge of her rights, it's understandable and she had an ADULT sibling who was supposed to be her guardian, so of course they never checked up. Also not a surprise Mary sold the house - literally from under her sisters feet - as she's clearly a psochiopath, with psychopathic tendencies - And I know of three different people this has happened to. If this is real, OP was lucky her sister hadn't killed her to silence her, but maybe that would've been one body too many? What gets me is that Mary had the Impudence to barge into the house of a JUDGE and demand she be protected. Though thecrest is possible, the ONLY thing that's suspect to me was OP bieng the presiding judge over Mary's case. This is because, as a relative and victim, OP would've been disqualified to preside over the case, due to conflict of interest.

Of the many holes in this story, the one having the hardest getting over is the lack of security for OP after her sister gets arrested and the level of response this incident gets. So a sitting judge is attacked at her home and only a few cops show up to the scene and then she isn’t placed under police protection right away until they finish investigating if she’s safe. Sure that’s believable here in states. She would get local or county protection for sure since she was attacked and threatened and a murdered judge due to law enforcement incompetence doesn’t look good to the public/voters. Plus that’s a good way for the feds/FBI to start getting interested in your town and not in a good way. OP prosecuting her own sister or being her sitting judge would never happen as the DA, defense attorney, colleagues, and the bar would never allow it. Hell they would probably ban her from being in the courtroom till she’s called in as a witness. The DA will be out for blood for sure though.

I can’t believe this story for a number of reasons. Why did the neighbor not do anything after finding a minor barricaded in her own room? The new couple just blindly bought a house? Didn’t check the rooms, come see the house? It was as if they manifested outside her room the day of the move. The biggest tell in this story is presiding over a case as a judge when you’re so personally connected. It just wouldn’t be allowed because you can’t be impartial here.

Mr Reddito reads the posts verbatim and the grammar and chosen words "My husband is an ex army man so he is allowed to carry a gun" point to 14 year old revenge fiction because her sister is mean to her. Also, an actual judge would not be spilling the facts of a case on Reddit! Plus if it's in the US, there is no "If you're an 'ex-army man' you can carry a gun" law. Not sure which fantasy land this happened in but a) how a sister would be able to hurl two adults over a balcony railing without leaving any trace, nor how the pathologist wouldn't be able to differentiate the damage from kicks and furniture and a fall... I don't know. Perhaps if she said they were already fighting and punched one another over the railing and she was kicking to make them stop. BUT. b), barging into the house of a judge whom she abused made as little sense as a judge being unwilling to include the history nor allowed to be so close to the case. So, sorry, but there is no way this story is true. The social workers would notice a child missing from school, the kid would have gotten sick at least once by then and the doctor would notice severe malnutrition and lack of sunlight. It's not like in the movies. Even the neighbors would know. Plus, I'm not sure being a legal custodian gives you the right to drink the money away and sign away the house.

In my role as an experienced hypnotherapist, I know that the trauma can be dealt with relatively quickly, to free her from the pain and negative effects of that past. However I also know that nobody can help someone who does not want help. I work with trauma every day and know the multitudes of ways it can mess with a persons life until they have properly processed it. Something only the subconscious mind can accomplish. I am supposed to be retired, but I still do the work, a lot of it pro bono, because there is so much need. It hurts to see someone in serious pain, when I know I can help alleviate it.

Assuming there was a mixup between what a judge and a lawyer is, there’s no way that she wouldn’t be ethically bound to report the conflict of interest in prosecuting her own sister. I don’t care what country this happened in, there’s no way any court would allow being directly involved with an immediate family member’s trial. Never mind the fairy tale of a recently bereaved couple allowing this barely literate orphan to live in the house they purchased and then adopting her and sending her to an Ivy League school. And any decent CSI should have been able to determine how stages the crime scene was.

Of course I'd considered that, but you want to get caught up in the drama. The amusing thing is, I've never seen a story called out this much. I only half listen, so the main thing I questioned was that the judge would have had to re-cuse herself. Like Esther said, there was no way that op was able to try and convict her sister, it's a conflict of interest. Good story,, but entirely fabricated. Who would allow a sibling to be prosecuted for murdering her by and NOT prosecuted them for the murder of their own parents?

My friend passed away and his son’s mother was in prison! She got cancer and the prison let her go home so she can pass away there! Both sides of the family didn’t want him so I took him in and we didn’t really know each other but it all worked out!! He’s my son and you can’t tell him I’m not his mother!! ❤️

Its hard to tell people are getting away with murder all the time and never get caught. But she should have still told police what Mary did to her parents she was a witness so there was evidence. I think it could go either way. If she had blocked that trauma from her memory out of self preservation that is possible. When it comes down to it anything is possible even the far fetched..

@1goodegirl There is no time limit for murder, even if buried a long time in her memory despite psychological support, at first. Second, in no way, shape or form would a magistrate being allowed to judge a family member, even a law school student would claim mistrial and misconduct against the judge ! Take the stories from this channel as they are : fictions !!!

Well...the thing that REALLY bothered me was that Hon. Little Sister, having JUST reported she was a JUDGE...was not only serving as...attorney gen(?) in her sister's case, but the victim AND witness that sealed her fate?!

I have a pretty good idea on how an investigation would go, even with the possible accidental death from a very high fall. An autopsy would reveal that the injuries sustained from the kicking could NOT be accounted for from just a fall no matter how high. So, this is a fake story, not to mention that very few people have the ability to completely cover up a murder let alone 3!

Just wondering in which universe one sister would be allowed to sit in judgement over another sister? Conflict of interest and all?

There’s a lot of holes in this story. Too many things just don’t add up. 1. The police believed that the parents committed double suicide on their anniversary? 2. The neighbor didn’t do anything to help OP after getting her out of the locked room? 3. The school didn’t get involved when OP stopped going? 4. OP didn’t think to call CPS and report her sister’s abuse? 4. Mary was able to sell the house without OP knowing? 5. How could Mary sell the house if it was part of OP’s inheritance? 6. Why didn’t OP tell the police that Mary killed their parents after she sold the house and left? 7. How did Mary know where OP lived when she came back? 8. It was just a coincidence that she ran into the house on the one day that OP forgot to lock the door? 9. Why would Mary come to OP after killing her boyfriend? 10. Wouldn’t it be a conflict of interest for OP to be the judge in her sister’s trial? Nice work of fiction. Mary came off as a not so believable villain. She seemed too evil.

Great story, but it seems that a judge in that situation would have recused herself from her sister's trial. Not doing so, sets up a "get out of jail free" card for Mary as soon as she discusses the case in jail and someone points this out to her. OP Recusing herself would have also avoided the threats. Confronting the the criminal without involving the police also set up the husband for jail if he had harmed or killed the criminal.
