I unravel the mystery of folding fabric into a Scandinavian Star Ornamnent in this video.
They are fun gifts for quilters or anyone who sews, especially if you make them from their favorite fabric or color, or both!
Thank you for watching! If you like what you see I'd love a "Thumbs Up."
I would like to thank Heidi Sonboul for providing this DIY playlist and this opportunity. Here is the link to her playlist: • Playlist

Ok who is old enough here to remember doing this with gum wrappers? We use to fold the paper and foil wrappers on a stick of gum and we use to make stars and Jacob ladder bracelets. We use to save all the wrappers in packs of gum just so we could make stuff. Now we are doing it with fabric....👍

@@apylinski yeah👍 me and my friend got so into it. We were saving all kinds of wrappers and different colors and the foil made cool looking stuff. We use to make star earrings with wire hooks..lol

We used to make love chains with this method. Supposedly you take one chain off for every kiss you shared with someone you liked! I made mine several feet long, but never kissed anyone. I was only about 12 years old.

The strips on the smaller stars are 4" folded to a 1" wide strip the large gold one uses a 6" wide strip folded to a 1 1/2" strip. As for the leagth?!?!? I jsut make em" long. I hope this helps and happy star making! Thanks for watching my channel!

This was made too confusing. You made one point on the yellow star, all was going well, then for some unknown reason (you say to make it "easier" to see) you switch to a totally different star with loud, distracting colors and start making more points, but not at the same place on the project as where you left off on the yellow one leaving us to wonder, after that first point, which piece of fabric do we move to to make the second point, I figured it out, but this was made unnecessarily confusing.
