This sisterlocks is so beautiful but heaven knows I can't commit to one particular hairstyle for all my life.. Good job sis.

Thanks dear. I do understand. You have to be dedicated and committed to it.

I would say it's more of a "hair state" then a style. You can do all sorts of hair styles with most any "hair state". For example, you can do the half up style on loose natural hair, relaxed hair, or loced hair. I totally get what you mean though. It's a bit of a commitment since interlocks (especially small/ micro sized ones) are more tedious to take out than traditional rolled/ twisted locs.

@@AlllSmiless absolutely, I’ve been able to do any and just about every style with my locs. Especially since they aren’t long…🥰

I've been doing my own hair since day one but I'm struggling with getting holes. Even when I'm sure I am going in the correct way (I use a 3 way mirror) I still end up with a few holes. Right now I need to check each loc on my next retie and fix any holes I find. (Sigh) that's about to make the process take twice as long.

how do y’all do it in the back? everybody only shows the very front. show us how you do the middle and the back. what is your setup to see your hair?
@RonnieAliu4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for suggesting this. It didn’t occur to me to show how I do the back. I’ll try and make a video for that. I just retightened today. If I had read your message sooner. Hopefully in the next 5 - 6 weeks I’ll be ready to retighten again.

Great video! I have had locs since October '20. I love them. But it's costing me $60 a month. I'm on a fixed income and I want to try and do my own hair. I'm 60 yrs. old. Do you think I can do it?
@RonnieAliu3 жыл бұрын
welcome to the locs club. its such a beautiful hair. Yes you can do it yourself Just be patient and take it slow. so you don't marry two locks. use your fingers to feel every move you make. its a tiring process but you sure can do it. start with the back so if you don't finish or make a mistake it hidden wey back there.

Congrats on retightening yourself. Good job #4! How often do you have to retighten? And how long does it take on average when you do it yourself?
@RonnieAliu4 жыл бұрын
I do it every 5 weeks. My hair has been growing a lot lately. It takes me btw 11 - 13 hours to finish. Though not at once. I usually spread it over a weekend.
@chinasanjoku57534 жыл бұрын
Ronnie Aliu how long is your desired length I.e. bra strap , mid back etc? Do you ever trim the ends?
@RonnieAliu4 жыл бұрын
For now I’m not really sure how long I want it. I’ll let it grow to bra strap and if I don’t like the length I’ll definitely cut it shorter. I don’t want it too long for sure.
