I just had mine installed March 8th and 9th and I'm loving them, Love seeing someone that just started as well. Sister locks for seniors, I'm 74 years old. Just did a couple of videos (nope I don't have a clue what I'm doing video wise) but thought I do this so seniors will know this is not that bad. Costly yes, 18 hours total 12 inches of hair and this get up and go is better than slicked bread.

Good for you. My install was $1,400 November 2023 and $190 every 6 weeks thereafter. People unlike you, can't do the grid and I dislike the twists locticians use. I git the interlocking sister-locs. I love em🥰.

I've had a lot of luck with coccyx pillows helping it feel better to sit for long periods of time! I think they're like $20 or something on Amazon? The locs look AMAZING! I can't wait to see the rest of the journey and I'm so excited you got started!! The first step of a big change is the hardest part, especially when it comes to anxiety. I'm super proud of you!! I also love how much of your scalp you can see! I wish I could get my hair done in a grid to get a better look at the bumps I'm forever getting on my head 😫 that mess is a nightmare to check with loose hair. I'm glad baby is eating well! Pancakes are an excellent choice, little one.

I agree with you on finding a quality loctitian is like becoming an investigator to say the least...I recommend ppl who are considering or want to start do your research..ask questions..do a consultation..its so important you don't just go to anybody I've seen a lot of install horror stories..and most of all prepare and be patient for the journey😌

I’m totally feeling you. The sisterlocks website is overwhelming. The first person I reached out to, didn’t want my money. Her work looks great on her IG page, but I feel she blew me off when I told her I wanted to come next month. We emailed a couple of times and then nothing. In fact I’m still waiting on her to respond back after I told her what I want. I finally contacted someone who emailed me back the next day. I told her I wanted to come in a month, she opened her calendar and I booked my consultation. I’m nervous and excited. Glad I found your channel. PS...I’m in Texas too.

Looking good girl! It’s interesting to hear the different rules and regulations consultants have. Like my consultant let me wash my hair ASAP. However your hair probably locks faster if you don’t wash as much. So now that I’m six months in I’m trying to wash a lot less. Good luck on your journey!

Water actually helps locs during the loc process. It helps with the actual process of your hair locking, the more buildup that happens the harder the scalp has to work as new hair grows out.
