Happy belated birthday to you and Happy Birthday to the Dude! I'm about 18 months in. I ended up selling some stocks to pay for my install. But I don't regret it. Now I've been doing my own reties for about a year. I'm glad to be saving some money cuz the upkeep of SL in MIA is expensive.

I'm 20 months in and still suffer from slippage. My consultant advised me not to wash in between appointments, but I still experience slippage around the edges and random spots throughout. I recently started shampooing my locs in between appointments (braid and band), and the results are the same. I still believe this is the best hair decision ever.

I have slippage only on my feont edges… so annoying. Its really on the side that I sleep on. So I purchased a 100% silk satin pillowcase in addition to my satin bonnet. They still keep slipping 🤷🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️. Currently speaking rose water in the morning on my edges to rough them up a bit and also hydrate without excessive oil. Any tips for me. Im 8 months in.

I'm now almost 3 years and still have some slippage. Not nearly as bad as it was a year ago. I rarely use oils and definitely not rose water. I believe locs are meant to be low maintenance and left alone. I'm enjoying the journey❤
