Lol! When I worked as a community health nurse, I would keep a retightening tool in my car and just retighten at red lights whenever I started retightening. It typically takes me about a week to retighten it a little at a time. On a great day I can be done in 4-5 hrs.

I do my own retightenings. I have 376 locs. I takes me 3-5 very dedicated and no breaks within them hours. I section my hair into 6 sections, put a series from Netflix on and go! Also I use a latch hook which helps me be quicker because I don’t have to loop my hair into the tool.

Your Locs are beautiful…. I’ve had a hard time finding a reliable loctician, so I self maintain. I use the universal locking tool. It takes me about 12 hours over 2 very dedicated days. Please keep the videos coming, I enjoy them sooooo much! ❤

I have so much respect for ya’ll sister/ micro locer’s. I have smaller traditional locs approx 150-170 and it takes me 3 hours to interlock them and I be contemplating life thinking its taking forever!!! LOL. I couldn’t imagine days. 😢 Great content. Thank you for sharing.

It takes me days to retighten my locs, inbetween time I do the same as you watch youtube movies off my phone, listen to music or talk to my friends on speaker phone to help make the time pass by. I try to dedicate a weekend to my locs but always get distracted. If I work, I take about a week and I now have 385 locs. I section off my hair and try say I will finish this section before I go to bed :) . . . Your locs are gorgeous!!!

It takes me anywhere between 3-4 days to retighten my hair. I listen to music when I have to be in the mirror, and I watch a film or a workshop or a training when I'm in a good spot and can retie without being in the mirror (this is usually the center of my head when there aren't too many loose hairs). If I can sit straight through it undisturbed, I can finish in about 12hrs-14hrs. I'm at 8 weeks post-retie right now, and I haaaaave to get in my head!
