She's my favorite character, male or female, in the entire series. Almost all are interesting or relatable in some way, Seryu honestly looked like the "bad guy turned good" type with the whole "justice" thing until we learned she was COMPLETELY UNHINGED. Esdeath even was intriguing with how she got Bulat's superior's crimes wiped clean. She was someone people respected, she was a general, but her outlook of "the weak should perish" on top of the fact she enjoyed torturing people also made me go "nope." Shelle was nuts, but she was also a klutz and only trying to help for the better. The whole series had compelling characters that in some way, whether you liked them or hated them, kept you coming back, despite the brutality of it all. Because there was going to be tears and you'll cry even rewatching it subsequent times.
