This happens a lot. Reason being is they cant afford to feed themselves so having another mouth to feed makes it worse. So they dump they child..very sad

Only in India. Most parents see daughters as less than, its also expensive to marry daughters since they have dowry's. And some parents can't afford the children, I think India needs to work on their population issues, the men their will rape any woman they find. Its sick.

i remember reading about roopa's story in a newspaper years ago while i was in a waiting room, and i randomly remembered it a few days ago and looked her up. i'm glad such wonderful people were able to help this family so much ❤️
