Diana Ankudinova was born on May 31, 2003 in Russia. She was 15 in this video. She just turned 18 yesterday. Yes, she is Russian going to university near Moscow. She is a dramatic contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. She was born with a spectacular larynx. It's been called the Eighth Wonder of the World. She is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below) When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune. And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. Thanks ladies for the time and comments for Diana. Very quick here, yes she won 2 consecutive years. Considered a Dramatic Contralto with polyphonic overtones, very low and sounds like 2 people. Sings in her native Russian also English, French, Spanish, Ukrainian, Arabic and some German. She sings, acts, dances, draws, paints, plays piano and ukulele. You were right, not a guitar, very perceptive of you. Its is some sort of traditional Russian instrument but I have no idea what it looks like (nor how to spell its name) As to finding a genre for Diana. You need to listen to another dozen of her songs to realise that she cannot be pigeon holed. Her voice teacher once said that at 14 Diana wanted to be able to sing everything, but later realised she would not train for opera as she would not have enough artistic freedom.

All you need to do is FIND OUT WHAT she is doing right now..... no real skill there... So, how is it that you do not even know a thing about this girl?
