it’s amazing how you go on Arne, unraveling the yarn and form a “cake” Cannot use that word, it’s alien to me. Een garen oprollen tot een bol. Maybe it is how you do it since childhood. What we used to do is always do it with two persons. One holds the ball, the other has the yarn around his or hers arms and then you both can have rolled it loads in a quicker pace because there is less entanglement during the rolling if both persons are attentive on the possible hiccups. With threatening knot forming the one who holds the yarn can turn or step back or avoid the knot by a preventative step. Cannot explain it very well but I did it many times when I was younger, because my mum was always knitting things for her 4 children and I learned to do the procedure with her from an very early age. You both have brought back memories. Anyway, together you can prevent entangled yarn. Possibly if you never did it that way it will not work for you. I really enjoyed the gardening shorts in pyjamas. You made me laugh a lot and I am looking forward to see more this summer. Thanks for sharing this with us!❤❤❤

So I’m sitting here listening to your redecorating adventures when I began watching Arne wind the yarn and noticed he has yarn on both arms and is winding off his arms! I’ve never seen this before now! Being that my life has been turned upside down, I’m having to hand wind new skeins into balls without my useful tools. This is great!

Oh my goodness, you two....!!! 🤣🤣 I had to laugh when Carlos described Arne unearthing his projects the same as a Roman archeological dig and then later as the opening of the grave of Tutankhamon. LOL!! Arne, on the other hand, has youth on his side, as he looks great for 29.❤❤ I really enjoyed this Sit and Knit for a Bit. I just love love LOVE the dead woman's/blind woman's needlepoint picture. What an idyllic setting. Winding yarn is something I really enjoy doing; it's so relaxing, especially at the end of a work day when I'm brain dead. Usually I rely on the back of a chair to do it, but seeing both of you using your arms inspired me to do the same last night. Love all the other projects on the table. You are both an inexhaustible source of inspiration. 🥰🥰

Hello Arne and Carlos. It's funny you mentioned excavating your projects. I recently did a 'stash dive' so deep that I told my friend I felt like an archeologist. The yarn I'm using for a baby blanket was purchased decades ago. I originally used it to make a blanket for my oldest niece, who turned 40 last year.

Shrink and shrunk LOL! Arne you're so good and absolutely brilliant. I love the needle cases and I would also be very interested in a video on draping. Trying out techniques on a doll is good practice without using lots of fabric. The garden looks beautiful Carlos. You both look great in your T-shirts too. It is the middle of winter here in New Zealand so seeing you outside in the sunshine helps me forget how short our days are right now.

I have never seen anyone undo and ball up a hank without a swift or the back-to-back chairs. 😮 Arne and Carlos, you are an amazing wealth of knowledge. I was almost dizzy seeing all of the finds from your archeological "dig". 😉 I try my best to be monogamous within each of my 3 crafts - quilting, knitting, and crochet. I think if one has a lot of projects to finish they will have a long life. 😊❤

You can’t be doing everything, both of you, however enjoy all we see and sharing time with you. So thank you for that. I like those two colours together . The colours of my living room they look good together. Sounds like as ever, you start a job them you end up.changing everything , then all other rooms end up being sorted. Sounds like all should soon be sorted fingers x. Yes I love the teal colour. I bet your happy you were not walking the wall this week , it’s been up to 31 deg. Really warm. Sounds like been warm where you are as well.Poor you Carlos you were trying your best, getting rid of rubbish. Look forward to seeing your new window. It’s nice to go out in your pjs. Nice and relaxing to wear. I do the same very often. Your shorts are good. Rub a bit of Vaseline in the bottom of your nose it helps stop the pollen going up your nose. Really helps. The black and white item looked very complicated. But nice. Wow the picture on the canvass will take you forever, but will be something special. Are you sure Carlos that Arne tidying his room was a good idea. Hehe.

I have a bird nesting in a fake plant basket hanging off a hook on my porch. I was going to trash it this year but I can't until the babies fly away now. That's so funny about picking up the leaves. I used to have a neighbor that was so obsessed with tidiness that he would run out to the driveway to clean one leaf. He was next door and I was so sad when he had their only backyard tree removed. His wife was even crying, but he did not give in. I moved away later, but I always imagined that he eventually just paved over his entire property.

About the Telemark Canal trip…I think the word you were looking for is “lock”, which is that “bathtub” that fills with water and raises boats to the next level. Not far from where I live (Ontario) are the 2 highest LIFT locks in the world…kind of like an elevator for the ships. One of these is about 20 m high, there other lifts the ships 15 m.

Finally catching up with you guys, after some busy weeks. While listening to your videos, I was handsewing a cover for the inside of a cushion (in which goes the filling) (boring to do), but found myself very motivated to hear about your travels, projects, gardening, etc. I share a lot with Arne: I am a Cancer too (will be 70, and I can assure you that age doesn't prevent to be creative and enthusiastic about a lot of things). I declutter my yarn wardrobe from time to time and clutter it again; I buy 2 of a thing almost all the time; I have a childish mine. So, I think Arne is my twin brother.
