It is possible!!! All you need is a grandmother with a rent-control apartment willing to leave the lease for you in her will. I know it was the story they used for Monica, but so many long time NYC residents aren’t homeless because the family passes down the 50+ year old leases!!!

To be fair, most of their conflict comes from lack of funds. "You spent how much on your hair and make-up??" "Oh, I suppose you _don't_ want me looking this good?" And wait until she finds the custom bowling ball he just bought for himself. Sparks are gonna fly! *Sigh.* Will he ever learn?

@panama24682 ай бұрын
@Nachtelfin0des0Todes it's not weappnized incompetence. It's that yall think that bc things are done to your "impecable standards", that the guy is somehow doing it on purpose. Your micromanagement is abuse. Minimizing his effort while you only do 10% more work than he did in order to make you look correct 😂
@eldritchteletubby93192 ай бұрын
@@panama2468 incorrect. You have the definition of weaponized incompetence wrong, though I'm pretty sure that's on purpose. Sometimes spouses do micromanage each other, but that's not what we're talking about here. We're talking about a man assuming that his wife is going to do his laundry when he claims he isn't capable of doing it himself, and scenes like that are common in sitcoms involving a heterosexual marriage.

I mean, 90s sitcom tropes were often pretty sexist. This one is the classic depiction of a man being a chill guy who seems incapable of doing anything and a woman who complains about the guy, which is framed as her nagging.
