Hi mate, thanks for taking me personally back to the place I lived for many years up north in Broome and surroundings!! There is an epic place further up north which with a lot of history and it could be something for you definitely if you’re interested which I don’t want to share over KZbin. If there is any way for a private chat let me know. The Kimberley’s are a magical place I personally think about it everyday and working on getting back up there. Enjoy the freedom big fella 👍🏼

Ay mate, that’s no worries at all.. comments like this is what makes it even more worth showing my videos, so thank you. Im actually camped up on a couple property just north of the Dampier Peninsula now for the wet season. Some really nice country up this way. I’m not sure how or if you can private message on KZbin mate, but if your on facebook you can message my page. I hope you get the chance to get back up this way one day… but for now I can show you around.

Ay mate, cheers for the heads up. I did try following it back up more, but she was still really wet around the outsides and couldn’t get close to the Center.. I seen the big pool on google, looked really nice. Copy that, I’m actually camping up north of the Dampier at a couples place and I’m keen to get stuck into the blue bone that’s for sure.

A good answer to a common question. I think you are spot on regarding noises. In fact when I camp alone or with friends, I use my ears to see, as hearing gives things away far earlier in the bush than seeing with our eyes, most of the time. I'm always tuned into my environment with my ears. I don't ignore a noise, rather I seek an explanation like you seem to do.
@Thecampman_Camping-Australia

@@Thecampman_Camping-Australia That's true. I am more concerned if I hear another vehicle driving towards my camp, or the sound of foot steps outside my tent at night. Something that does not happen often, because I like to camp in remote locations. 😀

Hey Dale did you mention snakes? Just a heads up around Broome peninsula just be careful with the “ Gwarda “ they look like a yellow belly whip snake (thin looking snake) but have dots on the belly for their identification, fairly venomous, loves shady areas in wet season., these snakes run (or should I say slither) up and down the coast of WA with different colours, but still with dots.just saying.

Howdy Dale, great video mate sounds like you have the bush all worked out l spend a lot of time out there on my own also generally the only thing you have to worry about is others with bad intentions otherwise all good, looks like you could handle your self, do you get down south of WA at all? and have you ever tried your hand at prospecting? if you are interested at all let me know as l have several leases in the Murchison and would be stoked to show you how it’s done, cheers mate and stay safe out there mate 👍⚒.

And that would be grate if you would allow me to come along, I don’t know much about it..but that’s one thing I always get told I should have on me as I travel is a metal detector.. would be good to learn more about them. You need to teach us how to fish Brother hey 😂😂😂 We called into Barred creek but couldn’t find that spot. Going to have to head back. Can we ask what cast net you use Brother. ? We used a nylon 6 foot and it’s got holes all through it now. Another great vid Brother 👌🎣🍻

I think yous did good man. Just keep trying different ways depending what fish are around at the time. Not sure when you’d when out there but I probably just missed yous. I’m up north now all set for the wet. I use a nylon as well, I run with a 11 and a 9 foot nets(drawstring) To be honest I found the smaller nets are harder for me to throw than a larger one.. it’s just heavier to walk around you might find when going from a smaller one to a larger one. Bottom pockets are good for bait, top pockets good for prawns :) Watch them snags tho lol. I hate them too ha.

@@Thecampman_Camping-Australia Yeah we must of just missed ya Brother. We will catch ya one day. So you do use the nylon then. Might have to give the drawstring one a crack as well. Going to have to get a new one anyway. Ripped holes in the nylon 6 foot. I’ll go up to a 9 foot and give that a crack. Definitely worth a try. Thanks for sharing your knowledge Brother. Really appreciate it. You’re a man of many talents I’ll give you that 👌 Stay safe Brother. And keep the content coming 🤙🤙🍻🍻🎣🎣

And if I’m in flathead country I try stay back a bit, or I’ll spook them off from the Shallows. Plus this time of year up north there can be box n irukandji jellyfish getting around.. just got to be alert, specially when throwing cast net this time of year.

Loving your video's mate. I'm wondering if you've ever come across wild dogs or dingoes in the bush.. I love to go out by myself, but have a fear of wild dogs. ( Ok with snakes and the rest. ) Knowing people that have been stalked and even attacked. What's your thoughts on this. It keeps me away from doing what I really want to do in the bush. Anyway s, I still can watch your adventures and helps me to understand it more. Cheers 🍻

Thanks Michelle, I think when people think of dingos they think their all going to be the same as those on Fraser Island.. Majority of the dingos/wild dogs I come across will more scatter and hide, they don’t wanna be seen.. they just out looking for a feed more than anything. Yes you’ll probably get that one that’s not afraid and wants to have a look mostly still from a distance tho.. I’m not so worried about my self around them, more so Dodge me dog. But even than in 15 years I’ve never had a problem with them. They are more looking for roos and not humans. :) Was only last wet season I had 5 of them at the back of my camp, I just put Dodge in the crate and just took in the experience. I’m no professional, it’s just what I’ve experienced over the years. But get out there and have fun :).

Thanks heaps for your reply mate...Yeah you'd want dodge to be safe.. Where I live, I see a lot of wild dogs free ranging, attacking calf's, Roos etc..Out my back window. Deer Hunters losing their dogs is a big issue. I know it's not the dogs fault, they're just trying to survive. But I guess in the bush more, they're not use to people as much. It's funny, I never had an issue with them, camping out myself, until I experienced seeing them, almost on a daily basis.. Thanks for your advice on 15 years worth of camping out... helps in knowing. I'll stop acting like a little girl and put my man boots on! 🤣 Cheers Mate... Give Dodge a big Scratch behind the ears for me....

More interesting areas. The biggest thing with noises in the dark is an over active imagination. Thinking worse case scenario. As you said keep a level head and more often it's a little critter in the leaves making a big noise trying to bluff it's enemies. Keep well and stay safe. 👍😎

Yeah it changes things up a bit when you’re looking over someone else’s shoulder ay mate. Personally I think you gotta look over your shoulder when you come into towns to do a shop, more so than when you out camped up.. I think most people you see out bush are thinking what you are and also worrying about them self.. most worry to much they forget to have a good time. I think our instincts will kick in when need be… more chance of being bit by a snake when to busy staring at the camp up from you ha. :)
