Sounds great, great playing. Some timestamps on youtube are easier to watch, I’m not sure why this is

Nice review Joe. Must admit I couldn't hear much difference across the toggle switch positions so must be very subtle....... but the Vixen sounds really nice

The clipping is right at the end of the circuit, so it's super-subtle when the pedal is at unity - more noticeable when it's cranked! :-)

Hi Joe! You play great and this pedal seems great too. I do have a question for you. You've played almost every pedal I like: Protein, Effectrode Firebottle/Overdrive, Kingsley Page, Sitek Caffeine, Vixen, etc etc etc... I play a PRC CE 24 with humbuckers in a fender Hot rod deluxe (usually always clean). Which of these boost/overdrives would you suggest for a good dynamics and a nice low volume boost/overdrive? I really like these Sitek pedals, but honestly I cannot compare these with the Effectorode, Kingsley, Protein etc ... I really hope you can give me your opinion. I wish you the best and keep up the good work!!

I think there's two different approaches there - a tube overdrive (such as the Kingsley Page) as they _tend_ to be some of the most touch-sensitive drives; or a boost (something like the Sitek Vixen) to push your amp tubes into saturation. Both approaches have positives & negatives (eg. if your amp is set clean, and has headroom to spare, a level boost would up your volume as well as gain) - but it depends whether you're looking for the sound of your 'amp turned up' (boost pedal) or a different sound altogether (OD pedal).

Wonderful informative demo as always. One question, your amp sound has no audible hiss or hum while sounding quite loud. How do you achieve that? Thanks!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👋🏼

Good quality cables, isolated power, well-designed (and laid out) amplifier circuits, and the shortest signal path possible - those are probably the main things! And...not too much gain :P
