You have to realize that the age of the Jedi was on brink of extinction over and over again thus those having the lack of training and experience to fight like they did before if you pay attention throughout all the films beside Vader and fallen Jedi in Canon it was a dead art, that's why in the war council of New Hope Imperial officers called it a dead religion and Vader was the only remnant of that remain
@venetianjack134826 күн бұрын
@@pumpkinkingca2010 I understand the lack of fight choreography in the OT given that lightsaber fighting was a lost art, however ST doesn’t get that leeway. Luke studied for years after the OT, he had students, a school, he was training Leia. He knew of the other forms. Ben Solo would have know something lore than swing and stab. No real excuse about the sequel trilogy fight choreography.

The armor he has on is Cortossis. It's not even a debate because Cortossis can actually short lightsabers out for a bit, which we do see here. And actually is a close contender to Beskar in terms of its protection. Like if a lightsaber is powerful enough and doesn't short out it immediately could cut through Cortossis. It's just that like I said Cortossis is pretty damn tough and a close contender to Beskar. Additional fact the Electrostaffs used by Magnaguards are actually plated with Phrik. Which is rare and tough and resistant to Lightsabers. Keyword is resistant as eventually it will wear away and can be cut by lightsabers.

It is literally explained in The Last Jedi that the Force strives for a balance between the Light and the Dark Side. If there are 5000 users of the Light Side and only 1 user of the Dark, that one user will be 5000 times stronger than each individual Light Side user. That being said, when the Dark Side user becomes dominant, the Force strives for a counterbalance in an exceptionally skilled Light Side user. Because Jedi act as an order, whereas the Sith operate only as a pair, the Force significantly favors the pair more because the Force strives for a perfect balance. It's one of the more interesting ideas of TLJ entirely thrown away in ROS
@ButFirstHeLitItOnFire10 күн бұрын
@@dahakaguardianofthetimelin4780 That kind of makes the force a tad… Scary. You’re basically saying, by this stated logic, that _The Force Itself_ wants a forever war between good and evil, and it will actively empower the weaker side to achieve its desired “Balance”, even at the cost of ruining countless lives. It’s basically like Kronika’s idea of a “Perfect” timeline in Mortal Kombat where Good and Evil are literally even in power and are locked into eternal conflict. But I guess that’s why the franchise is called _”Star _*_WARS”,_* isn’t it?

@TheMateria79 күн бұрын
@@dahakaguardianofthetimelin4780 That’s incorrect. George Lucas explained that balance of the Force means eliminating the darkside. He stated that the Sith or Darksider users needed to die in order for the Force to be balanced because only the light side is balance. He said that the Dark Side is a cancer on the Force. That’s why the Prophecy refers to the Chosen One (Anakin) destroying the Sith and restoring Balance to the Force. In 2010, George Lucas said that true balance is light side harmony and eliminating the Dark Side forever. So what you said is wrong. The Force cannot be balanced if the Dark Side exists. I don’t know why fans failed to understand what balance of the Force means when George Lucas explained it a hundred times. You can google his quotes on it.

Yeah, that was my main criticism of the lightsaber choreography of Nick Gillard in the Prequels. He focused TOO MUCH on the lightsabers and not enough on the wielders. A lot of Prequels battles look like they're aiming for each other's sabers instead of trying to hit their opponent. Thid battle took the best of the Prequels era fights and combined it with the weightiness and deliberate nature of Originals and Sequels fights. The Originals and Sequels fights made them feel like they're actually aiming for their opponent, but also made the lightsabers seem too heavy and clunky. Like they're wielding a heavy-ass Claymore or something. I think this fight and the Ahsoka fights in my opinion are the best mix. The agility and athleticism mixed with actually going for your opponent instead of showing off how deftly you can spin your sword.

probably the best scene in the entire series, one of my favorite lightsaber duels now as well, alot of the saber fights are them aimlessly flailing their glowsticks around, this fight is definitely not that, every single hit is intentional, i love it, though the series is kinda mid, hopefully it gets better, but we'll see, this is my own opinion, but i honestly think this fight matches up to some of the fights in the prequels, the choreography is amazing

she isn't, he finds her interesting and she's more bold thn the rest, so he is willing to let her show him all of her power. The older Jedi are too controlled, they are not as engaging, so he kills them quickly. I love Jecki, she and Sol are the best two characters in any of these shows, but it's pretty clear to me from his words and attitude that she didn't make hm work THAT hard PLus from what Vernstra was saying in the next episode, it sounds like aside from Sol, these Jedi were pretty weak. A strong apprentice on her best day putting up a better fight than a Knight or Master who wasn't specialized in fighting could totally happen. Ahsoka at 17 would probably beat most of the pre war Order

@swrodgon25 күн бұрын
All depends on how far back the show is set, since the answer ranges from a vague hundred to more than. Teneborous and Plageus were from fairly long lived species, so where Qimir fits in who knows. Alternatively Qimir could be pulling a non-canon move and searching for an apprentice while he himself is apprenticed, which has precedent in legends anyways. Or of course, he could just be from some dark offshoot force sect that could’ve existed who knows where/when; after all, dathomirians are apparently extra-galactic now, so who the hell knows.

Why is a little girl Padawan holding her own against a Sith Lord that wiped the floor with several knights? Absolutely ridiculous. Disney sucks.
@Jtry_25 күн бұрын
Obi wan and Ahsoka held their own against Maul. The child held her own when the other knights died in like 5 seconds, which can be attributed to the fact that she is highly skilled and gifted and had the potential to be a powerful force user. She had the unfortunate circumstance of having to fight a seasoned dark force user which she has absolutely no experience with and was obviously outlasted. It sucks she never got to reach to her full potential. Jecki is one of the few characters I’ve enjoyed so far especially with how lame the show has been so far.

Ok, so he has a Cortosis helmet. Sword and dagger style combat (which I wished he used more of) i like that. The end fights were decent, liked the amount of strikes and grabs throughout. Choreography was meh, especially on the beginning when dealing with the cannon fodder Jedi. Camera angle didn't give a good sense of the area and where everyone was felt more like a narrow stage than a fairly large area. Really didn't like that he just ran into the middle of the fodder with jedi both in front and behind him. Would rather have more high angles shots to get a sense of the area while he tries to avoid being surrounded and flanked, slowly whittling down the jedi.
