It is literally explained in The Last Jedi that the Force strives for a balance between the Light and the Dark Side. If there are 5000 users of the Light Side and only 1 user of the Dark, that one user will be 5000 times stronger than each individual Light Side user. That being said, when the Dark Side user becomes dominant, the Force strives for a counterbalance in an exceptionally skilled Light Side user. Because Jedi act as an order, whereas the Sith operate only as a pair, the Force significantly favors the pair more because the Force strives for a perfect balance. It's one of the more interesting ideas of TLJ entirely thrown away in ROS
@ButFirstHeLitItOnFire4 ай бұрын
@@dahakaguardianofthetimelin4780 That kind of makes the force a tad… Scary. You’re basically saying, by this stated logic, that _The Force Itself_ wants a forever war between good and evil, and it will actively empower the weaker side to achieve its desired “Balance”, even at the cost of ruining countless lives. It’s basically like Kronika’s idea of a “Perfect” timeline in Mortal Kombat where Good and Evil are literally even in power and are locked into eternal conflict. But I guess that’s why the franchise is called _”Star _*_WARS”,_* isn’t it?

@@dahakaguardianofthetimelin4780 That’s incorrect. George Lucas explained that balance of the Force means eliminating the darkside. He stated that the Sith or Darksider users needed to die in order for the Force to be balanced because only the light side is balance. He said that the Dark Side is a cancer on the Force. That’s why the Prophecy refers to the Chosen One (Anakin) destroying the Sith and restoring Balance to the Force. In 2010, George Lucas said that true balance is light side harmony and eliminating the Dark Side forever. So what you said is wrong. The Force cannot be balanced if the Dark Side exists. I don’t know why fans failed to understand what balance of the Force means when George Lucas explained it a hundred times. You can google his quotes on it.

The Jedi literally lapsed over the past 1,000 years. Bane and the Rule of Two Sith foresaw this and manipulated the degradation of the Jedi and the Galactic Republic. Average, no named, Jedi Masters are usually equals to Sith Lords; except for rare cases like Exar Kun or Revan. Which the Jedi always had their own Light Side counterparts to match or surpass those powerful Sith. The Rule of Two essentially are all these exceptions at large. The Jedi as an Order regressed significantly. They focused almost exclusively on blaster combat and vibroblade opponents, who were often not Force-sensitive. While they could hold their own against other Force users, they just weren't the same as the Old Republic Jedi. The Clone Wars Jedi represented the height of their Order, with incredibly powerful individuals who could have been Grandmasters in the Old Republic. However, the average Clone Wars Jedi would likely lose to their Old Republic counterparts. Honestly, even the old Mandalorian Crusaders would probably wipe the floor with them.

i think this choreography is on par if not better than rots. the fight looks brutal, and it doesn't looks like they're just aiming for each other's swords like in the prequels. if anything, only the Jedi in this episode were fighting that way, while the Sith was only going for killing swings which is exactly how i would think a fight with egotistical Jedi that haven't been in an actual duel before vs a bloodthirsty Sith would go. that being said, it doesn't save the show from having awful storytelling

Yeah, no, although absurd, prequel were much more lore accurate and epic due to the quick movements, this one is probably the best since disney took over.
@M86-l2y4 ай бұрын
Yeah, that was my main criticism of the lightsaber choreography of Nick Gillard in the Prequels. He focused TOO MUCH on the lightsabers and not enough on the wielders. A lot of Prequels battles look like they're aiming for each other's sabers instead of trying to hit their opponent. Thid battle took the best of the Prequels era fights and combined it with the weightiness and deliberate nature of Originals and Sequels fights. The Originals and Sequels fights made them feel like they're actually aiming for their opponent, but also made the lightsabers seem too heavy and clunky. Like they're wielding a heavy-ass Claymore or something. I think this fight and the Ahsoka fights in my opinion are the best mix. The agility and athleticism mixed with actually going for your opponent instead of showing off how deftly you can spin your sword.

she isn't, he finds her interesting and she's more bold thn the rest, so he is willing to let her show him all of her power. The older Jedi are too controlled, they are not as engaging, so he kills them quickly. I love Jecki, she and Sol are the best two characters in any of these shows, but it's pretty clear to me from his words and attitude that she didn't make hm work THAT hard PLus from what Vernstra was saying in the next episode, it sounds like aside from Sol, these Jedi were pretty weak. A strong apprentice on her best day putting up a better fight than a Knight or Master who wasn't specialized in fighting could totally happen. Ahsoka at 17 would probably beat most of the pre war Order

@swrodgon4 ай бұрын
All depends on how far back the show is set, since the answer ranges from a vague hundred to more than. Teneborous and Plageus were from fairly long lived species, so where Qimir fits in who knows. Alternatively Qimir could be pulling a non-canon move and searching for an apprentice while he himself is apprenticed, which has precedent in legends anyways. Or of course, he could just be from some dark offshoot force sect that could’ve existed who knows where/when; after all, dathomirians are apparently extra-galactic now, so who the hell knows.
