Actually, Anakin DID bring balance to the force. It seems to be pretty one-sided towards the jedi before he turned did it not?

@matthewturley352 Not in terms of power. The Jedi had more numbers but the 2 Sith were vessels for the power of the darkside. So while the Jedi had greater numbers, the power of the light side of the force was dispersed. Conversely, the dark side was concentrated in the two Sith.

@xanatos819 pretty sure that's not how it works. At least, not in the way you're expressing. Sidius, Maul and Tyrannus don't possess ALL of the power of the Dark Side. Likewise, the Jedi don't possess ALL the power of the light side. The fact that Sidius was on the ropes against Mace Windu and would have lost if Anakin hadn't stepped in is proof of that. Maul was also single-handedly defeated by Obi-Wan. You could argue he was weakened as a result of his bout with the two Jedi, but I find it apparent that fighting Quigon and Obi-Wan stressed his reserve of power very little. In the end, Obi-Wan was far more exhausted from the fighting, and he still defeated Maul.

@SynysterProjects When I say vessels for the power, I'm talking about all the knowledge of the darkside the sith have accumulated over a thousand years is focused in 2 beings. That is the entire point of The Rule of Two. It's not that they are inherently more powerful than all Jedi. They just possess more knowledge of the darkside than the average jedi has knowledge of the light side. That is why most Sith, even the apprentice, is usually stronger than run of the mill jedi.

@xanatos819 no, Sith apprentices are typically stronger than normal Jedi because they can tap into abilities that are forbidden to the Jedi. The accumulated knowledge of the Jedi is ridiculous. The Sith simply specialize in knowledge of the Dark Side, while the Jedi spread their knowledge across a multitude of topics. I guess you can argue that specialization is more potent than range, but I would disagree, given the sheer mass of information the Jedi possess.

Vader's mindset and true feelings are very interesting. It always reminds me of young love and how love can turn to hatred. I never understood how Vader could never see that the emperor had used him and destroyed him. Vader was no fool yet continued to serve the emperor. Sadly, that was all had left.....

I'm a 51 year old boring, stable, middle-aged man. As someone that was a little angsty as a teen and young adult, I can totally see how my world view was self-centered, ill-informed, prideful, and wrong. I grew up in a stable, two-parent household, middle class...not a Tatooine slave thrown into a 3 year war as a Palpatine pawn, so that mighta made it worse. I can totally see this disenfranchised young man falling victim to a power-hungry master manipulator
