@Alpine Carnivore I plan on it spring bear few months away here!! I have a question little bit stupid but what are your thoughts on sighting in a rifle distance wise I'm struggling with the learning of zeroing my rifle and or best distance 50yrd 100yrd ? Where I am it's quite wooded we got lots of cut blocks here in powell river thought I'd pick your brain. Thank you ps can't wait for more content!!!!
@AlpineCarnivore Жыл бұрын
@@justusdekort6426 So if your planning on sighting it in and its only bore sighted I would start close like 50 yards and make sure you are on paper, than once you adjusted to center back up to 100 and reajust. if you have a scope with turrets and moa than once its zeroed in at 100 yards the rest is just a ballistics chart. when your sighting in a gun make sure to always have a bank behind your target so if you miss the target the projectile hits the bank behind the target and you don't have any chances or injuring anyone.

Given the variety of game you hunt & the terrain you hunt them in I' d go with a 7mm mag or a 300 mag-- am I in the ballpark ?

Living in Washington, I believe black tail are the hardest deer species to hunt we have a different kind down here but they are the ghosts of the forests.
@AlpineCarnivore2 жыл бұрын
Yea that was my first time going out for them and I couldn’t believe how abundant they were up in the alpine. But on the coast near Vancouver guys who hunt them say the same thing they are a tough deer to hunt.
