It's actually not a bad concept. I used to cut off the hem of my work pants to a little below the tops of my 14" lineman's boots. It helps in a few ways; you don't pick up extra weight while walking through mud, snow or wet grass/brush, it helps avoid tripping you up on snags, keeps your pants from getting ripped to shreds on those same snags and it is a lot quieter. Hems rubbing together can be a huge noisemaker in the woods. They'd be especially useful with a pair of good, quiet gaiters. Good review.

Thanks Dan. You make some good points there as well. I appreciate the input! Even thought they are very different than what we are all used to, I'm intrigued to see how I like them over the course of a hunting season. Stay tuned for that review after some in-the-field use! Thanks for watching.

Have you tried other brands of puffy pants like the UA Storm Ridge Reaper Alpine Ops Pants or fl uncomphadre pants?

Hey there! I Haven't yet tried others personally, but some of our crew has the First Lite Uncompahgre and really likes them. I definitely need to do some more testing on puffy pants though! Thanks for watching!

I guess one gripe on reviewers had with the fl pants was that it has Velcro to adjust the waist. The under armor has belt loops. I don’t own ether so I can’t say, and then there are the black ovis and kuiu

Hey Alice, my wife said to tell you she wants her capri pants back, HAHA, j/k man. it is an interested, all be it odd concept. I can see how they would work well with a good pair of gaiters.
