In 40 degrees weather and up. I wear light weight T, grinder hoody and my Kelvin vest under my dakota vest. Best combo I’ve ever worn. The mobility is unreal. If I get a wind over 10mph I put my delta wadding jacket over it. Anything colder then that I put my traverse hoody on under my kelvin and dakota vest. I have a duck oven I’ve never even wore yet. The coldest I’ve hunted this season was 19 degrees.

Agree 100% the old grindstone is also one of the best looking pieces they made in my opinion. Also agree would be nice if they offered in waterfowl colors since it’s the only vest with windstopper and insulation. Especially since they already offer insulated or windproof in waterfowl colors alone but not together.

the kelvin is perfect for texas.. plenty warm(for texas) very comfortable and doesnt take up any room in your blind bag

I also have the kelvin jacket which i wear more often as an outer layer and have caught it on a rusty screw... I was really surprised it didnt rip. its more durable than it feels
