@@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 the bow is fantastic but I wouldn’t recommend the customer service aspect of it. Long story short, as a beginner I made the mistake of taking the wrong arm (thinking left was for the arm shooting the bow), I had to ship back the bow at my own expenses which got damaged along the way and then because I live in Canada, I paid duty twice….Oh and if this wasn’t enough, they made be pay 20% extra for them to ship the right bow back to me to me after I sent back the bow otherwise they wouldn’t send the new back which is illegal at this point. I told them I lost my job about 2 weeks ago to see if they would have any empathy towards this particular situation. I just wanted a new passion and try something new in this difficult time. They didn’t care about it at all. Oh well, from now on I will purchase my equipment from somewhere else and this cost me 875 Canadian dollars in total to get it…. The person who I dealt with was Luke. And I told him I would make sure to let people know of what happened because it is unfair to treat newcomers to the industry in such a way. Just as your information.

Im upgrading from my first bow the black hunter recurve. My delima is between sitkin takedown or the oberon. I have the sanlida hermit which i love but even after silencing it i find it a little loud. The oberon is just sexy as hell but its fixed at the weight it comes as and i intend to keep increasing my pull weight to at least 50, the oberon cant give me that. The sitkin takedown gives me that option... but the oberon is just so dang gorgeous..

I really, really want to pull the trigger on this for my first bow. My only hesitation is the 58 inch length. My draw supposedly 28 inches. Also, I can’t decide between 50 and 55 pounds. I’m about 5’9 or 5’10, 270 pounds. Pretty strong. 41 years old.
@instinctiveaddictionarcher89984 ай бұрын
@@llamawizard man the length is plenty good especially on the takedown but don’t over bow yourself starting out no matter what, the average 70 pound compound shooter will only be able to consistently shoot a 45# recurve and you can develop horrible form habits quickly going too heavy so keep that in mind brother 👍🏻

I recently purchased my first bow from 3Rivers Archery, hoping to start a new hobby after losing my job. Unfortunately, I made the beginner's mistake of ordering a left-handed bow, assuming this meant shooting with the left hand. When I contacted customer service for an exchange, they agreed to send a right-handed bow but refused to cover any shipping fees for the return or the replacement-expenses I had to pay out of pocket. I carefully packed and shipped back the middle part of the bow in a bubble envelope. However, it arrived damaged, and Luke from 3Rivers insisted on charging me an additional 20% of the bow’s value to process the exchange. Despite explaining my situation as a first-time customer struggling to get started in the industry, Luke showed no empathy. To make matters worse, when the bow was sent back to me, I had to pay import duties in Canada for the full value of the bow ($500), even though I had only returned the middle part. This led to me paying the duty twice on the full amount. In the end, I spent nearly double what I expected ($950 instead of $500) between shipping, duties, and additional charges-just for making a beginner’s mistake. While the bow itself is of high quality, the experience left me feeling taken advantage of. I would not recommend this company, especially for new customers in Canada.
