Yiannis and Kostas in Greece playing "Sittin' on the top of the world",an old American song composed in the '30s,and that has become a standard for Blues,Folk,Bluegrass repertoire.
Recorded at Plus One Recording studio,Thessaloniki,Greece,March 2017.
Guitars:2008 Bourgeois Country Boy Deluxe,1960 Gibson LG-2.
(From Wiki: "Sitting on Top of the World" (also "Sittin' on Top of the World") is a country blues song written by Walter Vinson and Lonnie Chatmon. They were core members of the Mississippi Sheiks, who first recorded it in 1930. Vinson claimed to have composed the song one morning after playing at a white dance in Greenwood, Mississippi.[1] It became a popular crossover hit for the band, and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2008.[2]
"Sitting on Top of the World" has become a standard of traditional American music. The song has been widely recorded in a variety of different styles - folk, blues, country, bluegrass, rock - often with considerable variations and/or additions to the original verses. The lyrics of the original song convey a stoic optimism in the face of emotional setbacks, and the song has been described as a “simple, elegant distillation of the Blues”.)

Wonderful job to say the least! I have to claim a little ignorance though because I expected the Les Paul/Mary Ford version. Not being a folk blue grass expert I was pleasantly surprised to hear what I recognized Cream recorded back in the 60's. Entirely different style but great song none the less. BTW, I found you by searching a DeArmond Mod 210 which I bought in the 60's and used on my LG-1. I want to get it repaired and resurrected for my D25 or Epiphone 12 string. I'm subscribed to you now!
