Sitting for 30 years WW2 Generator O'keefe and merritt E-3

This generator has been sitting for 30 years world war II okeefe and Merritt generator can we get it running again?

they have these motors in welder,tractor,lifts.

Back when they made things to last. It looked like the original oil filter had a little tab to take the top off, I assume to change or clean the “cloth” inside instead of replacing everything like we do now.

Oh they definitely made things to last back then unlike today. The oil filter unfortunately wasn't serviceable The tab in the middle was to make it easier to pull out of the filter housing.

Nice video. I have found 1 in a scrapyard. But looks like the engine of generator is stuck. Do you have some documentation for repairs??

After doing the repair I found some documentation on the engine side of it. I've got a PDF of it somewhere. Best thing you can do is open up all the spark plug holes and put a mixture of diesel and marvel mystery oil down there before you start anything I'll let it soak for a week or two
