Japanese female metal band's pioneer was Aldious, Technique is LOVE BITES, But good songs,good arrangement…, ln my opinion,Cyntia is the best!! The bassist's groove is powerful! Awsome.

That's Azu, she plays now in LazygunsBrisky. I also noted the much groove of her bass. That's why may be she always is chosen for Naon no Yaon as the bass for Guitar Girls Collection show.

I will say, they are excellent musicians, I am glad to see acts like this kicking ass. I enjoyed their rendition of "Honey" which rocked the house. I'm right on the verge of becoming a fan of this band.

I agree with most of Denise's narrative regarding Babymetal. I believe she's done her homework. I also was in the music industry. Yes, there are "Manufactured" bands and their are guys like Metallica or Foo Fighters who started in a garage with nothing and worked their way to the top. YES, I agree....once they get to a certain level they sign their integrity away. Then they also become a product. The truly great musicians most people have never heard of ....and if you have heard of them, they certainly aren't making the mega cash the more popular bands do. The problem I have with "Manufactured" bands is they are just that. They aren't discovered and then molded....into a more sellable product. They are a product from the get go. Babymetal is authentic when you look at Kami band. But Kami band wasn't there originally. The girls are jpop idol creations and that's OK. What I don't like and what nobody who finds out they're being duped is the "Manufacturing" coming before the "Music". The lip-syncing, background music and vocals on tape. No POPULAR music is 100% authentic. If it was, it wouldn't sell. But Babymetal is a product sold by 3 cute little Japanese girls. Nothing more nothing less. Even Kami band isn't using their full potential in that they have to transition into a pop groove for the girl "Idol" parts. That being said, I like the pop product. The songs are catchy. But I didn't and don't like the dishonesty of the product from the beginning..... a la Milli Vanilli or Ashley Simpson. Who actually got caught singing to tapes. I believe we are talking about two categories. One who are actual Musicians and those we call Entertainers. Babymetal (The 3 girls) is a concept and a product and they are Entertainers. Popular music is a combination of instrumental music and lyrics being sung and the feeling that both give us. Can most Babymetal fans honestly say they understand Japanese and the lyrics? Andddddd we're back to the the main hook..... the 3 cute little Japanese girls singing to what I like to call pseudo-metal. Just ask yourself. If the 3 cute girls we're replaced by 3 50 year old fat dudes with long hair and buck teeth.....would we even be having this conversation?

No. They switched to pop in 2015, unfortunately, then broke up when their guitarist had a health issue. She's fine now, though. Came back to the scene last year. Don't know if they plan a reunion.

I'm not going to get into the BM debate - many bands in Asia are forced to do some really corny TV appearances and some of Cyntia's early stuff is a bit cringeworthy, but they've clearly come of age in the last 18 months. Sad that Kanoko has moved on, but Ayano and Yui were always the real starts of this band (no slight on the others - just calling it as I see it). I've been pretty disappointed with the live vids from many of the current metal stalwarts - Insomnium etc - but this recording is excellent. I also find I dont miss growled vocals as much as I usually do - again, the killer musicianship is what its all about in metal, at least for me, and this band delivers in spades.

Fuck this world.... Cyntia have proven they are talented at writing/performing both rock and power metal, they have a passion for it, yet people would rather go out and see Baby Metal because it's nothing but a hollow gimmick.

I am against it because the performers don't care about the music they make, and have been found to admonish the fans that they are trying to appeal to. It's typical disgusting pop industry antics, and that's like the most un metal thing of all.

VegaArchAngel I don't agree, Cyntia is also super commercial. Look at their official videos? And other renown metal bands are commercial, Iron Maiden, Sabaton, Alestorm, Avenged Sevenfold and tons of renown bands... so they're popular and they don't do it coz they love it? Well, how Baybmetal could have known and be sure they would have become popular??? I know babymetal since their first single, they had like 10k views for 1,2 years... there are bands in any musical genre where people play for fun and from heart, just some genres earn more some less... times change :D and music industry is DEVILS child, you can be great artist and be unpopular, you can be mediocre and just hit the masses!!! PR and media is everything. In my country Babymetal would be called satanist band (coz we're just living in the stone age XD) while Japan is lightyears from any state in the world so... they do all kind of weird sh*t :D

No you've missed my point, those popularized bands you've mentioned have a passion for making music, Baby Metal is literally a band full of teenage girls who hate the music they make, don't understand their fans, and do only what their producers are telling them to do, the band wouldn't exist if it wasn't for how well you can market it.
