we know ARS as Dr Paul . yes In 1982 in doordarshan the drama played during deepavali, in which ARS played a doctor role, as Dr Paul. In our family, we still call him as Dr Paul. We love him so much !

A R Srinivasan is a fantastic artiste, and always came across as authentic in every role he essayed. Now we know why. He is naturally down-to-earth, crystal clear, and perceptive. Not surprisingly, he comes across as genuine in the character he portrays. I liked this interview, overall, but I do have a few thoughts about Bosskey's interviewing style. I wish Bosskey would probe some of the angles a little bit more rather than switching back to his script. For instance, when ARS was talking about both Rajni and MGR as actors, it is an unusual insight, coming from a veteran like him. So, Bosskey should have explored that a bit more. Also, it is rare to get an articulate interviewee like ARS, and perhaps, Bosskey should bring a slightly different sensibility - almost like the "Inside the Actor's Studio" feel in which the interviewer recedes to the background and the interviewee takes the stage. I feel that Bosskey tries to don a role of a comedic interviewer, and I am not sure if it works well always. Still, this does not mean that this interview was bad, or that he is not upto par. Quite the contrary. I feel that he does a capable job, but he could be doing a spectacular job if he fine tuned a bit.
