On the subject of build quality, there is the fact that with hifiman you do play a bit of a QC roulette

Good to see you back Doc. An interesting set although I think I'm leaning towards a more neutral, analytical pair in my search for an open-back pair of headphones. My genre proclivities are dominated by jazz fusion, death metal and classical solo piano (romantic/baroque). I want something that will do these disparate things well enough. I'm leaning towards the good old HD600, but are there any other contenders that should be on my radar? I hope you're keeping well and thanks for your content.

Deffo go for the HD600s. I think they’ll suit your tastes very well. Cheers!

How would You compare Luan to Sivga Phoenix?
@4epa1012 Жыл бұрын
The Hifiman headphones push detail through the boosted upper rage, plus they don't sound as dynamic as the dynamic driver headphones. I am selling my Edition XS and probs will get something like the Sivga Luan. Is the soundstage as big as the one on the Edition XS? Great review btw! Subscribed!

Honest audiofile prefer Luan over SV 23 witch costs duble the price. 😮

As these aren’t planar I have a feeling they are different vs better or worse than Sundara
@AudioFixation Жыл бұрын
No they are dynamic driver Just comparing them because of the price point

What about sound leakage to outside with these? The Sivga's Phoenix didn't leak much sound to the outside for an open back. What about these?
@AudioFixation Жыл бұрын
They leak loads of sound - whatever you are listening to will be audible to everyone around you!
