A jump scare mid video would have been absolutely hilarious

Removal of the rear sight , plunger tube and the ejector are not required on even a detail strip , showing them being removed could make a novice think they should be and damage the pistol. The rear sight must be driven out, the plunger tube is staked in place and once remove will require a new part to be installed , the ejector is held in place by pin that isn't even shown.

I was given a 1911 that the previous owner nearly destroyed trying to blue it himself. After washing it in warm soapy water he had a diabetic attack and it sat for an extended period of time and corroded.. I've had hell trying to get it working .. I've soaked it in a rust dissolving bath; disassembled as much as I could and soaked again in penetrating oil.. A few tight fitting parts are still either seized or not working properly.. any tips?

@@cavalryscout8720 soak it in a small tub/container of white vinegar for 24 to 48 hours ,then remove and douse it with baking soda to remove the derusting and dissolving phase ,wipe it down and assemble. Well oiled.

@North8582 I can't tell if your serious or just trolling, if you're serious you know nothing about the 1911 and I pray you don't own anything of historic value

Outstanding job! Thank you very much as it has been probably 40 years since I did that in that much detail and I had forgotten some of the steps and watching that again it all came immediately back. Thank you!

Do you happen to have a list of other guns you've done this way. Cause it's the easiest way to learn. It's freaking amazing. Thank you for starting this whole thing.

Love the NO LONG explanation, and unwarranted talking, however the videos are on the hasty side, if you can slow them down a smidgin, it’ll be well appreciated thanks.
