The Biscuick mix that you used on the veggie pot pie is what we New Englanders call dumplings. We use it on every type of stew. When we moved to the Midwest someone invited us over for chicken and dumplings and they served cut up thick noodles on the chicken mixture. Just goes to show that every section of the country has different names for dishes!

With triple digit, record-setting heat in Texas for the last two+ months, I used the crockpot once. Way too hot to eat like that and we found we had little interest in eating at all with it so hot. We mostly ate pasta salad and sandwiches. It's been pure misery this summer. We are almost 10 days into September and had our last (for awhile) triple digit heat day yesterday. Thank God! I will probably wait another two to three weeks before starting crock pot cooking again.

Oh dear friend... I miss your meals so much. A few months ago I had a disturbing doctor's appointment. I had gained 60 lbs. and my blood pressure was through the roof. I've been doing Keto and having great success. I know you have some low carb recipes and I'm slowly learning to turn regular recipes low carb.
