Six Flags Darien Lake Walk-thru 2024

This was my home park when I lived in NY. It is a shell of itself. Sad. Hopefully, Cedar Point will show it some love. Rebrand it with Snoopy.

This park needs some serious investment. The biggest problem is they removed a bunch of rides and did not replace them. They charge over $30 parking and $20 for a slice of pizza. At least there is a picnic area in the parking lot. Buffalo NY doesn't have high enough of an income to support prices that are more than what Disney charges, especially after once again, pulling a few major rides and not replacing them. If they replaced the rides they pulled out then that would have been ok. But for crying out loud they pulled out the ferris wheel and did not replace it with another one, and I've well, never heard of a park without a ferris wheel of some kind at least until now. Overall you are better off saving your money, and going to another park, as there are a few other options within a 2 hour driving distance of Buffalo. The only thing is this park has the campground and the PAC which is where the real money is. although the PAC is a truly dreadful experience to go to, and I wouldn't recommend anyone go there, if you know you know.

Sadly this park seems completely soulless. As you are walking through it I feel zero life, energy, soul. Depressing park. Yikes.

Nice again..so glad Gene Staples makes it moving their parks forward...the merger with Cedar Fair...it be like going to McDonalds in a few years, sad..

Just to clarify, Mind Eraser is getting a refurbishment and should be back open by next year. Otherwise......yeah.......compared to your previous walkthrough........not good. Hopefully now that Six Flags is under new management they'll fix things right.

I don't think six flags/cedar point can do anything to Darien Lake because they technically don't have ownership, six flags just operates under their brand. Whom ever the owner is, they will have to invest and make changes for the better to this park.

Six Flags Great Adventure is my home park - only 20 mins from me but I really rather not go to Six Flags parks. I usually just do Dorney Park instead even though it's 2 hours away.. I went to the Six Flags in Atlanta GA last year, in June during a heatwave.. It was 110 degrees. And what did they do? SHUT OFF ALL THE WATER FOUNTAINS TO DRINK FROM SO YOU HAD TO BUY THE $10 WATER. I already didn't like them, but after that... forget it.

Honestly I could see six flags/ ceder fair selling this park, from what I can by Google maps, it's only a 30-40 minute drive from Buffalo. But six flags itself doesn't really care for this park, and Darian itself seems really nothing at all, I'm not sure if it's even a whole town? I think it's going to get sold off to another company.

I hope it doesn’t get closed by the new corporation. It’s relatively close to both Great Escape and Cedar Point, so I’m not sure how they’re going to deal with it.

This park is terrible-I reviewed it in 2023. We also visited Six Flags Great Adventure this year, and it's a dump as well.
