Six Flags Great America & Carowinds Teasing New Rides for 2025 - COASTER-net Update

Carrowinds would get three new rides in the course of three years. Family coaster in 2025, a new water ride in 2026, and a major new coaster in 2027. Speaking of water rides, I think it would be cool if GCI or Gravity Group create a flume ride for a new generation. Something like flume ride, but with faster speed, coaster style bunny hills, and even hairpin turns.

Likely a Dr. Diabolical clone (SA for San Antonio). Not sure if it replaces Demon or goes in the Deja Vu/ Buccaneer Battle plot and Demon stays. An axis would have been more exciting, but this is certainly a solid addition.

It also could go in the roaring rapids plot of land, it’s a very large area and it has been closed for a while and they also removed the sign for it. I just hope it’s a decently long ride as their last 3 roller coasters have been pretty short rides

It’s not the project looks too large to be a clone of Dr Diabolical could be wrong but from the looks from the construction it looks like an out and back layout.

This news just convinced me to not renew my season passes on Carowinds. They need to RMC the Hurler. I am done with these baby upgrades they have done to the park. Cancelled. Better off getting passes to Cedar Point.

For Carowinds it's a major upgrade to a land to the tune of Aeronautica Landing. The trees mean Camp Snoopy. Funner means a new theater. Faster is a Snoopy Racing Railway, wetter is a Zamperla River battle and new splash pads. I've got way too much time on my hands.

Six Flags Great America has a height limit of 330ft which is the top of Sky Trek Tower. It lies in the demons eyes in my opinion would be direct;y across from the entrance which is the Buccaneer Battle plot which they’ve started demo on. They’ve also put up banners in the park to go along with the videos they’ve teased with. First banner on the 18th went on the fence where Mardi Gras Hangover was and 2nd banner is on a fence over by where the ropes course used to be next to the Demon. Both banners had QR codes on the, that leads to a wordle. The first week the answer was tease and the 2nd week the answer was demon. The wordle has 4 more lines which I’m guessing would mean 4 more weeks of teasing. It’s also good to not that the company had recently trademarked Wrath Of Rakshasa. Stay tuned!!

Buccaneer battle would be an excellent plot of land that you could expand either way to the ropes course or to the go karts (I hate those things). I don’t get the Mardi Gras hangover spot though.

@@COASTERnet I forgot to mention the banner that was on the Mardi Gras site said “Looks Can Be Deceiving” and the 2nd banner by Demon said “Shedding Skin” with both of them having the hashtag #FearTheWrath

They have a height limit of 255 feet. That was imposed after they built the Sky Trek Tower.

@@mdf3530 Nope it is a village ordinance that no structure can be built higher than Sky Trek Tower, which is 325 ft.

Through the Demon's eyes, so the loops. Did they not remove the tunnel between the loops? So maybe a clue to re-theme/restoration. Adding on a Himalayan theme to the station/queue as well as that section of the park around Demon and includes doing something with the Buccaneer Battle? and well it's the 50th season next year and it opened with the park as Turn of the Century!

Great america has a height limit of 125 feet. They're allowed to go over with a special permit, but can't build higher than any pre existing structures.

Another sign is by demon its not a banner but a small sign that says Caution this is a mysterious sign and their is a symbol in the demons eye on the banner that translate to SA which are the same letters from the first teaser

This project looked rather large it goes from the Demon all the way from Marti Gras this might be far fetched but i think it’s going to be a dive coaster like Yukon or a Giga coaster definitely far fetched but it looks out n back and a Giga would look nice with it being in the Middle there. Guys in the comments this will not be a clone of Dr diabolical I doubt it and it wont be an Axis or Raptor project looks to large for it to be a Axis or Raptor could be wrong but given the length and placement those are the two most likely options.. If this is a large project like I’m theorizing they most likely got special permission already by now which is what i think the building height requirements are…

It's Gona be s&s axis..with the s in teaser..and actually hate to say it but my home park wassss supposed to get one .but they scraped it..and this park is a test park..Soo my money is on s&s axis call it now...but I also agree the need to rmc American period...💯🎤🎤 As for my park..we need a dive period...something like Dr..but longer..bigger..higher..more inversions...we need a people eater coaster...I would love to see something like 150 ft..95 degrees drop..like 5 inversions..around 3600 to 3800 ft...bam sold💯🎤🎤🔥🔥
