Ha! Wow! A blast from the past. I’m the electrician that was “interviewed” during the Riddler sequence. What a great career of testing, programming, opening, and troubleshooting attractions all over the world this led me to. Thanks for bringing this back!

Awesome to see someone from the actual video comment 👍 You worked at SFMM during its best years, It must have been a fun job back then.

@@RollerCoasteraddict Yea, I was there a total of 8 out of my almost 15 years before I switched careers. It was an incredible experience. Some of the best jobs I’ve ever had, for sure!

I like how in the beginning of the video the guy says Goliath has a 255ft drop but, halfway through the video the construction worker is like the Drop height is a secret 😂 ...

We need to get back to the glory days of Magic Mountain!!!

I've learned so much more about my ride in 10 minutes of this video than I think anybody else who does my job knows about it. I learned what a chain dog looks like on Viper, I now realize the actual reason why we park trains at night, I get to see what it looked like before X was built (and also what Rev looked like without Tatsu behind it), and I learned that someone actually liked Viper. All within ten minutes on a video available to the public... and I've learned so much more than the park actually teaches. Every day I love and hate Viper a bit more. At least I can say I know a lot about it.

I remember watching this ( and taping it too) around 2001...back when we didn't have KZbin or 500+ coasters channels doing content...just ACE and Discovery Channel. Also this video was my first glimpse into Fright Fest. At the time, I was too young to be allowed to go (I had to wait till I was 13, according to my mother. She thought Id be too scary for me), and all I remember seeing this was "Wait, Colossus goes BACKWARDS?" I literally had to beg to go to Fright Fest after I saw that footage. My first amusement park haunt event...and nearly 20 years later, her and I still go to haunts together, a family tradition. ( though we last did Fright Fest in 2015, and instead do either HHN at Universal, or Knott's Scary Farm.)

I WISH we can go back to this time......minus the "25 coasters" in every damn SIX FLAGS!!!! edit: The way both the flood lights lit up Goliath's facade, PLUS the green lights lining the lift hill, AT NIGHT, @ 29:31 was fantastic!!!!! *WTF HAPPENED?!!!!!!!!*

1440p won't help if the capture device is low-res to begin with.

Oh wow!! I totally remember watching this very same episode on tv. Those scare actors always stuck with me forever in my mind (in the best way possible, inspired me to become a scare actor. Which has connected me to some very important people today.) Anyways, I was watching this like hmm.. this can't be.. and then I saw the gargoyle actor, and I WAS LIKE WHOA THIS WAS IT! haha. I've been searching for this since then. 37:01 as well, I NEVER forgot that. My memory sure is insane.. what it can remember and what it forgets hahaha!
