I got to spend only 6 years of my life there and I fondly remembered the Looney Tunes area with the big slides and the characters show with them having kids come up to throw water balloons at the other characters.

That place won’t ever open again. If anything they’ll tear it down. The park is still partially flooded to this day since it’s right next to a swamp.

Several different redevelopment options have been proposed for the site, and predictably they've all fallen through. The City of New Orleans should just clear out the remaining Six Flags remnants and relics and let the land return to nature completely and permanently. Or if anything, clear out the land and turn it into a nature park like they did with the Richfield Coliseum site in Ohio.

Nobody. Ever. The city and state should just team up and clear out the remaining Six Flags relics, rip up all the parking lots and concrete, and allow the land to completely and permanently return to nature.
