A great informational post Tim, thank you. For your information, Christopher Ward no longer have discount vouchers. The price on their website is what you pay.

Thanks for watching! Such a pity ... But at least the sale is still active from time to time.

Thank you for this video! feel like Vulcain is a brand that doesn't get the attention it deserves. for those keen, plenty of decent longines can be found in mint/near mint condition at attractive prices from sellers based in japan on e-bay

I have the Moels & Co 528 & I love it. The unique design is a conversation starter although it is definitely a love or hate piece.

Very informative and well delivered. Vintage wise, I picked up a mint ‘66 Omega Constellation Pie Pan a few years ago and, although I don’t wear it a lot, for those special occasions it’s the ultimate dress watch.

I wish! That would make me 16 years younger. Although I DO have a 1950 LeCoultre Futurematic, inherited from my dad. Fun fact - apparently they had to remove “Jaeger” from the dial to import it into the US!

My grandfather, a Russian immigrant who escaped the pogroms in the late 19th century, became a jeweler when he landed in the US and eventually owned a small factory making the gold cases for Lord Elgin. I have four of those classic watches. They still work, but I’ve searched long and hard to find watchmakers who can service them. I’m in Northern California and could point you in the right direction if you’re so inclined. Lemme’ know and we can take this offline.

You can get caught up in the hype. I was quite interested in the PRX but decided to wait for the automatic which turned up with the waffle dial so I never did buy, I was surprised how big the 40mm version looks in person .I dug out a similar Seiko 5 I've not worn for a long time, fixed it and am enjoying it again.

The Moels watch is great, wish it had a date complication, though. A steel bracelet might also be good. PRX is cool at a distance, not so much up close. Powermatic 80 sucks.

Uh…because they are tiny, and delicate. Not everyone wants an old-timey watch. Maybe if I had a zoot suit and went to a lot of themed parties. But I don’t. I want modern material and modern designs. But it’s cool. To each their own.

I have been looking for a Vulcain Cricket Classique 36mm for a while now and they never show up preowned. The retail price is a bit steep for what I would be getting so it might remain a pipe dream.

I've been wanting one for a while too. At first, their prices seemed way too high. I remember, "Heck, that's Omega money". But, it seems that Vulcain have stuck to their prices while everyone else, including Omega, have raised theirs by 30% or more. Nowadays, the Vulcain Cricket seems appropriately priced. I just don't have that kind of money. I've never seen one on the used market either ☹️
