Had one in a 17 gal with a pair of clowns for 2 years no issues . Transfered to a 45gal with a lemon peel angel and a pair of Maroons and a flame hawk. It's about to be a year no issues . And the six line swims around and pecks at the rocks all day .
@TheCoralReefTalk Жыл бұрын
That's awesome. Glad to hear the Sixline is doing great. How are the maroons doing that's very cool to have a pair. I had a very aggressive grumpy maroon clownfish at one point lol. Still a beautiful fish.
@H8ter11 Жыл бұрын
@@TheCoralReefTalk they are doing great . They stick to one panel of the aquarium and keep to themselves. They occasionally explore when it's feeding time or when I'm staring at the tank .

@@H8ter11 That's great having a pair makes them even more fun to watch. My maroon back in the day would always rearrange snail shells and stuff in the tank all day, lol

I really enjoy my 6 line i keep it with a pair of clowns, Bicolored blenny and Valentini puffer in a drilled 40 breeder with a large sump. I've never had issues with this guy with aggression and he hasn't messed with snails or crabs. I was told by a couple people not to buy one because they were terrible in their tank but after around 2 years he's been great

I'm glad that I took a closer look at these guys and didn't pass them by. 100% planning on adopting one of these guys since I was forced to get a new tank due to a tank crash (salvaged 90% of my livestock, plus ALL of my original sand and live rock!) and I have a bigger tank now (30 gallons versus 13.5.) I will be waiting a few months to half a year to get my wrasse though - gotta let my reef build itself back up first so that the wrasse has plentiful snacks!❤

Sorry to hear about the tank crash, but that's awesome you're getting a bigger tank. This is such a great fish. Have fun setting up and getting your new aquarium set up and going! Happy New Year.

There are two at my local pet shop in the same tank. One is much bigger than the other. They seem to get along. Wonder if they will continue to get along or fight once the smaller one gets bigger.

I'm keeping this fish for two years now, and never observed any aggression. Chromis are way more kind of bad guys - at least in my experience.

Yeah I agree Chromis are little mob bosses lol The Six line is really not that aggressive. Thanks for watching.

One of the most aggressive fish I have had the displeasure to have. Killed my orchid dotyback the same day it went into my 200g. Everyone I know that had one ended up taking it out of the tank.
@TheCoralReefTalk Жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that. It's never fun when there is fish aggression. Some species are not very compatible and will fight it out for sure.
@gregcoogan82703 ай бұрын
I heard that they can be okay for a while, but the longer you have them in your tank, the higher the chance it'll just one day turn on everything else in your tank.

Great video. I’ve always been afraid to get one of these because of aggression and they jump. Will they eat vermatid snails and is the CUC safe?

Thanks for checking out the video. The six line typically leave the cuc alone. I haven't really noticed an effect on vermited snails.

Will a Sixline eat zoa nudibranchs and aptasia? I have a mostly coral dominant 90 gallon tank. I only have a Scopas Tang, 1 green chromis who his retired here after cycling two other tanks 😊 and a mated pair of chocolate clowns. CuC are varias snails, hermit crabs and a tiger conch. Should I add a Sixline?

@TheCoralReefTalk Жыл бұрын
Sry to hear that. It is great to enjoy a fish in your aquarium for that long. Are you not looking to add another one or are you thinking the yellow tang or other fish may be aggressive towards it. But, If you were to add another one using a tanklimate or acclimation box would help to see if the other fish will accept him.
