I feel like a gardener watching a farmer describing real life issues. Thanx for doing the hard work so thousands can see how "easy" it is to generate electricity with small windmills. No hesitation to give you the thumbs-up!

Hello - Just purchased an i-1500. There's no mounting pipe specs listed in docs. You mentioned you had difficulty finding the perfect sized pipe locally. I'd imagine the i1500 was designed with a metric equivalent which doesn't perfectly match our standard pipe sizes (2", 2.5" etc). My existing mount has a 2.5" ID which I'm betting is too big. Eyeballing your video where you show your use of exhaust clamps, I'm guessing you used 2" pipe (2"ID)? Looks like you split the pipe across it's length, creating two halves of pipe, effectively allowing you to reduce the ID. Hoping you can confirm the pipe size you used for this modification. Better yet, it would be great to know the exact OD of the i1500 mount. Perhaps I can then find the perfect metric match while I wait for the new unit to arrive. Thanks for any feedback you can provide.

drill a weep hole in the base and seal around the stator, some of the gaskets wear out and water can pool up in the base.

37 mm is kinda a bastard size. just drilled into 1.5 in pipe and used existing bolts.. i use an old light standard w/ about 1.5 yards of concrete under it. the i200 is new to it.. so???
